There is an option in the settings menu for either Date Stamp or Text Stamp. This is where you enable printing the date on the picture

Canon Rebel flashed busy and now after changing battery, it won't do anything except display date page.

The bottom right screw on the rear board on this model comes out and shorts out parts of the circuit board. This may be the cause of your camera's problem. It is always this screw and it happens to about 50 % of the cameras I see.

Finding and replacing the screw may solve the problem, but it sounds like the screw may have done permanent damage to the rear board.

I have a problem getting the date to show up on my pictures. I always set the date before i take pictures, but it doesn't showup on the pictures.

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Dear Expert, I have a problem with my Samsung L100 camera with the time and date. Somehow when I have uploaded the pictures onto my computer it gives the date of the future for example: May 21st 2013....

The date of your pictures is from the date you took it, So, it must be that last year, May 2010, when took those pictures, your camera's date was not set to 2010. You must also know that when a camera's battery is totally drained and stocked for a long time, the date will be reset. So next time make sure that your date is always right on your camera. =)

But here is a good news. You can just change the dates now after downloading it to your computer. Go to the picture you want to change the date, right click on it and choose properties. Click on details, then "date taken" and change it to any date you want.

I hope this helped you.

My camera shows that the date and time are set up but date does not print on picture when developed. it's a new camera and I just developed my first set of prints and there is no date on any of them. ...

On digital cameras, the data is stored with the filename. Check the back of your prints to see if the dates were not printed there. Most companies do put at least the date information on the back of the prints as well as any other metadata stored with the file produced by the digital camera. Unlike film cameras, which could only record the date by actually putting it on the picture, digital pictures contain metadata that can include things such as people tags, location tags (geotagging), etc. depending upon the capabilities of your camera. The date and time is always stored along with the filename on all digital cameras. If the company that printed your pictures did not include the date on the back of the picture, ask them if they can do it or find another source to print your pictures that can.

If this did not address your issue, please reply with any amplifying information so that I may more accurately address your issue.

I hope this helped!

How do I get the date to show and stay on the pictures I take.

You need to set the date using Set Up menu and you must remember to reset it after you change the batteries. Have you done that but still don't get dates on pictures?

My Sony Steady Shot DSC-H5 says "recording" when I am taking regular pictures. Uses up the memory stick quite quickly, although it lets me take about 30 pictures...!!! Doesn't actually record,...

There are some multi burst programs etc which show RECORDING, but actually store pictures. You can always do a reset you know (initialize from the camera SETUP menu) - that should help.

Date on pictures

If you have had this feature in the past and now it has stopped the likely hood is that the internal battery that keeps the clock going has died. you will have to check Panasonic support re replacement - but it is likely no replacement is possible.
