Been there, done that!
It sounds like you formatted it to FAT or FAT32, which take up ALOT of space. So go to my computer, right click on your SD card, and go to format. From there on the drop down menu select "NTFS" and format it! That should free up most of it! Good Luck!

The drive or device you are inserting the card into may only support up to a 1 GB sd card. You can also try putting it into a different device such as a computer or the photo reader at a picture printing kiosk

I have 4gb micro sd card whin i format it show me 3.69 gb

1 GB = 1024 MB (mega bytes)
1 MB =1024 KB (kilobytes)
1 KB = 1024 bytes
1 GB = 1024*1024*1024 bytes
1 GB = 1073741824 bytes

But manufacturers count 1GB as 1000000000 bytes, so it's normal that a sd card which advertise being 4GB is in reality 3.7GB (4000000000 / 1024 / 1024 / 1024 = 3.72 GB).

I added a 2gb mirco SD card to my Sansa e270 6.0gb player, but the memory is still only showing 10mb of the original 6.0 gb available for use. How do I get the Sansa to recognize and use the 2 gb mirco SD...

Hi,when you purchase a new micro SD card before use, youwill need to format the memory card so that you will be able to know the actual size of the Micro SD card by checking the details after formatting it.

After formatting the micro SD card and checking the details, if you still do not see the accurate size which is about 1.88mb or the about, that means the micro SD card you bought needs to be replaced. Not a good one.

Have a nice day.

Where to install memory card

Depending on your model of Blackberry the memory card will either fit in a slot on the side of your phone (under a cover) or if you remove the battery you will see a slot for the card. The full size adapter is so that you can read the card in a standard memory card reader plugged into your PC.

How to format corrupt memory card?

You will need a card reader (unless your PC has an SD/MCC slot): 1- Insert the SD into slot or into the card reader and then insert the card reader into a USB port. (please wait for few seconds) 2- Click on Start - RIGHT click on MY COMPUTER -Choose Manage 3- Look at the left information pane and click on STORAGE 4- You should see all your drives on there to include the SD drive 5- Right click on SD drive (it should show you the path ie E:\, D:\ etc and the size 1-2-4-32 GB etc...) 6- Choose FORMAT (There will be a drop down menu, please choose NTFS) and wait for it to do it's thing (this is irreversible) Wait till you see the words HEALTHY PARTITION (followed by the drive name) You are done! Have a great day!

Sansa mp3 player could not detect micro sd add on card

I believe you can fix it by going on the player, then to settings, then to USB mode, and switching it from MTP to MSC. If you're in MSC already and it fails to recognize, then I don't know. :(
