Installing a wireless mouse for your laptop PC gives you an extra level of convenience. Using the touch pad on your laptop for long periods of time isn't practical, but setting up a mouse and keyboard every time you unpack is a little annoying. With a wireless mouse, there's no extra set-up once it's installed on your computer.

Follow the step below on how to install it:
1.Insert new batteries into the battery compartment of your wireless mouse. 2. Position the wireless receiver least eight inches away from your laptop, and between eight inches and six feet away from the mouse. 3. Insert the driver CD for your wireless mouse into your CD drive. 4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the mouse driver. 5. Connect the wireless receiver to the USB port on your laptop.
6. Test your new mouse by moving it around on your screen and clicking a few icons.

I hope this information will be helpful. Thank you for using FixYa!

Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Would like advise on how to install a wireless mouse on a laptop

Wireless mice come with a USB dongle and a wireless mouse. Install batteries in the mouse and plug in the USB dongle into 1 of your USB ports on your laptop while in Windows. Windows will detect the mouse and automatically install the software needed to communicate with the mouse. If Windows doesn't install this device automatically, try installing the drivers included on the driver CD.

Trying to install logitech wireless mouse on Acer laptop with Windows 7 but not seeing the device. Wireless button is on and active on the laptop

Wireless button on laptop has nothing to do with wireless mouse. Plug in your mouse receiver that come with the mouse in to a USB port on your Laptop. Turn on your Mouse and hold the reset or sync button on the bottom of your mouse for a few seconds, so that the receiver can synchronize with your mouse. Mouse should now work OK

How do i connect my wireless i.t.works optical mouse model MWO03 to my eee laptop windows 7?

Follow these steps :
1.
Check to see if your laptop supports wireless technology (Bluetooth, 802.11 or other). If it doesn't, you will need a wireless receiver. If it does, verify that your laptop is compatible with your wireless mouse, which could use either Bluetooth technology or a radio signal.
2.
Unpack your mouse and open its battery compartment. The wireless mouse won't receive any power from the laptop, making batteries necessary.
3.
Add new batteries to the compartment. Make sure that the + battery end is inserted into the + niche in the compartment.
4.
Place the mouse where it is easy to use and least stressful on your fingers.
5.
Place your wireless receiver appropriately if your laptop doesn't support wireless technology. The receiver should be kept at least 8 inches away from the laptop or any other object that would cause any interference.
6.
Place the wireless receiver anywhere from 8 inches to 6 feet from the mouse.
7.
Insert the driver CD into your laptop and follow the instructions to install the software for running the mouse.
8.
Connect your receiver to the laptop by plugging in the mouse's USB connector to the USB port of the laptop. If you do not have a free USB port, simply use an external USB hub for more ports.

I purchased a HP laptop, Windows 7. I installed

You have to install the software that came with the wireless mouse. I have several, and some will and others won't work without the software. That is 90% what it is.
