The company that made DVD players for Walmart went out of business back in November of 2007. Since they can't support them, Walmart has been exchanging them.

If they don't you can file a complaint on ripoffreport.com

That site could be a scam. That isn't a legitimate web address and it isn't back by the manufacturers. There are procedures for getting that replaced. If your working toddg for that company you will get reported.

FYI ripoffreport.com has complaints filed against 1800customersupport.com for not delivering merchandise. I would never provide service from a third party company if Walmart can't deliver.

Well Durabrand is a walmart brand but fry's sales these external batteries that will hold alot more play time then it would to replace this for a new battery. And the cost is $49.00. You will get extended play time for the fraction of the cost of replacment batteries!! I hope this does help you out.

Looking for a replacement battery for Durabrand PDB-702, does not hold charge

Good luck finding a direct replacement for this unit. A universal replacement can be found at many internet vendors for $30 to $50. RB-270 manufactured by INITIAL. 9.0V and 5400mA which is a great improvement over the OEM battery. Fully charged this battery should last 2 hours or more. NOTE: This is not a direct replacement and will not attach to your DVD player as the form factor is universal. It will reside next to the player during operation... a minor inconvenience. I think WALMART carries the same model.

You can check with Radio Shack or Batteries + and see if its a common item based on those specifications.

The Durabrand portable DVD players are no longer supported by Walmart because the company contracted to make them went out of business last year. Ripoffreport.com has several complaints about the product line. Walmart has been exchanging them.

DUR-7 portable dvd player battery life?

Wal-mart does sell replacement batteries. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=2350787 For this particular unit. However; in the future I would suggest researching a particular item before buying esp from Wal-mart. As Durabrand doesn't even have a website.
