First try to check if your system is detecting the hardware, go to Device Manager and check if there are installed drivers under "imaging devices". if none, check if there are yellow marks under unknown devices.

First - re-seat the hard disk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot and go into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty. Then the hard drive needs to be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer or laptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioning computer/laptop again.
Possible that the drivers to the webcam was removed/ has errors or that the web cam hardware has failed.
Now you can try and reinstall the drivers once again, you can also open control panel>device manager and check on the web cam driver or reinstall.
If not the web cam can be faulty or there can be problems in the wiring to the webcam or a fault in the motherboard.
Go to control panel, double click system , click hardware tab and click device manager. Check there if you can see your Genius Look 315FS Web Cam is installed. If none or there is a device with a question mark. That means not yet been installed. Or try to switch your webcam to the other usb port if your computer detect just click next and so forth and if asking for the driver install it and test. Good day. it sounds like a faulty cam have you tried an external web cam this may trick the onboard one in to working.
if the on board device is detected in the device manager uninsall it and it should re-install itself the next time you boot up.
or try the msi web site look for support downloads then select your computer it should be a drop down list and down load the drivers for it.
If your computer does not have built in web cam then you need to buy external web cam and if you already have bought it then just plug it into your computer. once you plug it in then you will be asked for driver and which is you find on Disk which comes along with your web cam when you buy it. just insert that one into your CD/DVD drive and it will detect automatically. and just follow shown instructions on screen. that's it.
i seems that your computer does not installed web came drivers. install it from the cd comes with the pc if you dont have one download from the acer web site.
I wish I could but I have the same frustrating problem with my Toshiba Satellite P300. I can see the darn thing there in front of me, I've evn had the blue light on it......once. Now absolutely nothing. I just get an Error message saying the driver doesn;t work so I should restart my computer or the camera. Aaaagh!
