MITSUBISHI BIG SCREEN TV MODEL VS-60607 CUTS OFF FOR NO REASON

MY MITSUBISHI BIG SCREEEN TV MODEL # VS-60607 JUST CUTS OFF AFTER A FEW MINUTES OF WATCHING AND THEN WILL NOT CUT BACK ON FOR SEVERAL MINUTE' ONCE IT DOES CUT BACK ON THE PROCESS START OVER AGAIN CUTTING OFF FOR NO REASON

    my mitsubishi ws-65807 is acting up i turn the power on and green light comes on and 2 seconds later cuts off. i recently moved and tv worked fine before i loaded it on the truck got it to new house and doesnt work any more

    my tv started cutting off after long hrs or use and has gradually gone to a few min or seconds now its hit or miss now wether ill be able to use it some days it works some days it turns off right away

Check for any bad solder on the mainboard of the TV, and also check for any burn fuse on the powersupply area... BAd solder was very common problem on Mitsubishi TV..

Hi:
If you are using a cable box connected to the television for viewing channels, the box has a screen format button on it make sure its is not in zoom mode also. Check the box's remote for a button labeled format or Aspect or screeen.

My mitsubishi vs 60607 big screen will not come on...green timer light comes on then off....tried holding down menu and input buttons and the code it gives me is 2 flashes and then 4 flashes...what does...
The 2,4 error code means a problem in the Vertical circuit.

This could (due to the age of the set) be bad solder connections at the vertical output chip or a part bad anywhere in the circuit.

Problem is in Vertical circuit.

You better take this fellow to a doctor. You have a stamp size IC with about 250 pins that is bad. Only a tech can replace this or reinstall a remanufactured board into this TV. You may ask the tech to use a freeze spray to find this IC first and then he wil decide how to operate!l

I have a Mitsubishi VS-60607 Tv and it started out
Without going in with troubleshooting equipment it is hard to determine if the problems are related or not but it is unlikely since you seem to have a video problem and a convergence problem , which are two separate circuit(signal processing and deflection). Hope this help.
