[email protected] have netflix instaled. I played a show on my computer. Now I want to play a show on my TV, through my blu-ray. I have a wireless router already installed. When I ask to play a movie on my TV it asks for the activation code. I don't know what it is?

Blu-ray players stream the same HD video as other Netflix-ready devices. Netflix streaming video works with several Blu-ray player brands -- including LG, Magnavox, Panasonic, Philips, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, Toshiba and others -- and any Blu-ray device plays Blu-ray discs from Netflix.

To adjust subtitles on most Blu-ray players, Smart TVs, and set-top boxes:

1. Launch the Netflix app.
2. Select the movie or TV show you want to play.
3. Select Audio & Subtitles from the options panel.
4. Select your preferred audio or subtitle options.
5. Press Back to return to the options panel.
6. Select Play.

I started having this problem a few months ago with netflix playback getting 'skippy' after ~6+ months of smooth operation. I finally figured out: Went into my netflix web-admin panel on my Windows laptop. From there changed my SETTINGS for netflix: "PlayBack Settings" adn dropped it from "AUTO" Data usage per screen to "MEDIUM" (standard video quality, 0.7gb per hour). Bouf. Magic. Everything is working perfectly again - no more skipping. I think my netflix was trying to run at a higher setting (3gb/hour) and then downsampling it for my TV set (which is not able to show the higher res anyhow - it is only 32" screen) - so it was wasted bandwidth, and making the playback stink. Perhaps you may need to use a lazer cleaner in your blue ray player

Buy a cheap DVD player under $50 they play anthing.I have a $600 Toshiba Tivo DVR that won't play some DVD s.My $32 RCA plays anything.Good Luck.

The specifications of this laptop states that it has a Dual layer DVD R/W drive. This drive can only play DVDs and CDs but not BluRay discs and it can burn single and dual layer DVDs and CDs.

The problem is QuickPlay. Some discs work, but those that didn't, played just fine on my PS3. I had to buy Cyberlink PowerDVD 9 Ultra (10 Ultra also plays Blu Ray), and now, they all play on my HP dv4 laptop. Updates won't matter. Don't use QuickPlay, it's very "fical". Hope this saves you time & frustration. It's not you, it's not your Blu Ray drive, or drivers, it's simply the software/program (QuickPlay) that is the problem.
