Your RAM slot may be bit loose. Remove RAM from slot and try another slot.

Not a very detailed question, perhaps I can detail my issue with this exact same MB.

Whenever I power-on the PC, this mainboard beeps 5 high-pitched beeps. Though everything seems to operate perfectly thereafter. Swapped out cards, etc. but nothing seems to help. Problem is it wakes everyone up when doing late-night backups.

Dell studio 1558 wont start up beeps 7 times

Your beep codes indicate a processor failure, did you purchase a new processor with the MB or did you use the old one?

Blinking yellow light on xps200. changed power supply. still blinking yellow

A blinking yellow light means that there is something wrong with the motherboard, if not the motherboard itself it will be either the RAM, wiring connections, bad processor or it may need a fresh coat of thermal paste on the processor itself. With Dells, its pretty easy to find out. Start the pc and You will hear some beeps count the beeps. ex:beep.beep...beep.beep which gives You a code this one being 22. Once You get the code go to Dell support and look up service code and it will tell You what the problem is. Good Luck.

Power on screen blank.. fan on

Did you hear a sound beeping. If you can hear a sound beeping it is a RAM problem. But if there is no sound beeping that is a processor problem. You can disassemble or remove the processor and clean make sure that the processor fan is spinning so that it will control the temperature of the CPU to avoid overheating.

When booting the screen says no signal and the it begins beeping intermedately

I think the graphics card has become unseated as the PC does not need a monitor to start up so there would be no beeps; Here is a list of beep codes with there meanings.
BEEP CODE MEANING POSSIBLE CAUSE
1 Beep (No video) Memory refresh failure Bad memory
2 Beeps Memory parity error Bad memory
3 Beeps Base 64K mem failure Bad memory
4 Beeps Timer not operational Bad motherboard
5 Beeps Processor error Bad processor
6 Beeps 8042 Gate A20 failure Bad CPU or Motherboard
7 Beeps Processor exception Bad processor
8 Beeps Video memory error Bad video card or memory
9 Beeps ROM checksum error Bad BIOS
10 Beeps CMOS checksum error Bad motherboard
11 Beeps Cache memory bad Bad CPU or motherboard

Computer will not start

It all depends how many beeps there were.
From http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12253_div/12253_div.HTML
Diagnostic LED Explanation Table Number of 1-second red LED blinks followed by 2-second pause, then repeats:
2-processor thermal protection activated
3-processor not installed
4-power supply failure
5-memory error
6-video error
7-PCA failure (ROM detected failure prior to video)
8-invalid ROM, bootblock recover mode

I have only really come across 4 beeps = order new Power Supply or 5 Beeps = reseat the memory and hope it works

Oli

Dell Dimension 8400 - screen goes black or just freezes, no mouse or keyboard input works. Power down and then power back up works fine for about 10 mins then same problem.

Does the computer emit any beeps? If so, how many beeps?
One quick loud BEEP, at start up means that all is loading OK. If you get more than one BEEP sound, than you could have Memory ( RAM ) that is, or has failed. Sometimes, if one of the internal fans has failed or is failing, a computer will start up, and than shut itsself down again. Look for any error messages that may come across the screen. Get on another computer, and search for "computer beep codes". If you have the original manual that came with the computer, sometimes it will list beep codes in it. As it has been pointed out, it could be the hard drive also, check the beep codes, that is a good place to start.
