On your phone go into settings > wireless. Tap and hold on your wireless network and "Forget Network". This should clear out any bad data and allow you to re-connect.

Very old router. I suspect a failure. I recommend you check out this website to see if there is any hope for it.

Linksys wireless firmware is know for it slow connection issue. I have one and my lan speed was double then my wireless speed. I put the third pary firmware from www.dd-wrt.com website and now my wireless and lan speeds are the same.

You can reset to default factory settings.

or follow these instruction:
"f you have forgot the default password of your linksys WRT54G router than remember that the default password for WRT54G is user name = not required /give any
password = admin
and the default access IP of WRT54G is 192.168.1.1"

Of course resetting values you have to recreate network configuration this tip can help.

try upgrading its firmware.

I would get a Range Expander... it sounds like you are having problems recieving a constant signal. When you do get the range expander plug the Range Expander halfway between you upstairs computers and your downstairs where your router is at. I hope this helps!!

Hi there If u have a linksys wrt54g router. the omni antena will not give u the maximum wireless signal if u are going to set it on a motel, u need to setup a wireless access point in order to broadcast the signal or to repeat the signal u need a wireless access point and the model # is WAP54G..
