What kind of contractor is he? Go to the supplier that the contractor purchased the system from. Or the MFG website, or email their customer service. I'd let them know what kind of contractors are installing their equipment.
Hi,
I am getting F1 message in my Turbo air system, seems it refers to a communication problem. please let me know what exactly it means and how can be fixed, I called the contractor who sold and instated the system but he didn't know how to fix it.

Hi, This could be a wiring, programming or a reversing valve problem... Does the remote show that you are in heat mode??? Does the unit come on and run in cooling when it should be heating??? then it is a reversing valve stuck... if you are not getting that much to happen then it is a programming or unit wiring problem...
sounds like you may have a shorted capacitor on the fan motor. Hopefully not the motor itself. The capacitor should be in the electrical box and looks like a battery.
The 5v control wire between the unit inside and outside is not hooked up or control board inside is bad. Check the cable first. This is your defrost wire. You won't notice anything wrong till it drops below freezing.
