HI...

You are referring to the automatic wifi setup option?

The AOSS button will be on your wireless router, IF your wireless router supports this method of setup.

If it doesn't then you have to input the settings manually.
Just follow the prompts on your PSP after you choose manual setup.

Im trying to get internet on my psp.But I need to find the" AOSS BUTTON".Can you help me?

The AOSS button is not on the psp. It's on your wireless router. If you don't have that button on your router than you need to purchase a new router with that capability.

A selection of routers can be found on amazon for a usually cheaper price than going to a retail store.
Check here
http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=sr_nr_scat_300189_ln?rh=n%3A300189%2Ck%3AAOSS+router&keywords=AOSS+router&ie=UTF8&qid=1293689748&scn=300189&h=c4aae570d6d7a8733102ccfe883873eea838ab52

then compare the prices at the websites of retail stores like Best Buy, Target, and Walmart.

Hope this helps : )

WHERE IS THE AOSS BUTTON IM TRYING TO CONNECT TO THE INTERNET

Near the right side of you psp if it is new there should be a small button near the power button that is the aoss button. No, there is no AOSS Button on the PSP. You have to have a router. This router is hooked up to your computer but you have to have DSL or something like it to run a phone line though.

AOSS is a wireless solution made by www.buffalotech.com. Most new wireless routers/access points has this capability. AOSS is on the wireless router/access point and not on the PSP.

AOSS will automagically determines and configures the connection of a PSP to a wireless access point by pressing the AOSS button on the wireless access point.

How to connect a new psp to the internet

AOSS = Airstation One-touch Secure System

it's a propriatary solution from buffalo technology (www.buffalotech.com) for securely negotiating a wireless link to a base station.

experienced techies may say "big deal." true. but consider the layman who opens their new laptop and wants to link it to their wireless dsl router at home. WEP? AES? TKIP? huh?! enough alphabet soup to scare off the timid.

AOSS removes the user from having to know any of this. it automagically determines and configures the most secure connection. that older laptop that only supports WEP? no problem. AOSS configs the keys. that newer media station in the upstairs bedroom? AOSS will set up everything to use TKIP or AES.

NB- all this requires you have a buffalo tech AOSS wifi router AND a wireless adaptor driver that supports it too.

For connecting the PSP to internet you need a internet connection with wireless router

Can't find AOSS Button in psp

you are doing it in the wrong menu. you are setting up a connection to location free player

you need a wireless connection. And so after that, you go to the internet icon, and then you just type in your link.

1. Go to the Main Menu of your PSP.

2. Go to Settings.

3. Scroll down to Network Settings and Press the X button.

4. Select Infrastructure Mode.

5. Select New Connection.

6. Name the connection so that you know it is for web browsing. (ex. WebConnect)
That way you can use another connection for the rest of your online games.

7. Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.

8. Select the Scan option and let it pick up your WLAN settings.

9. Once it picks up a connect, Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.

10. Select Custom for the Address Settings.

11. Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.

12. Leave IP Address Setting on Automatic.

13. Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.

14. Select Manual for your DNS Setting.

15. Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.

16. Enter in 67.171.70.72 as your Primary DNS and just leave the Secondary DNS blank.

17. Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.

18. Select "Do Not Use" for your Proxy Server settings.

19. Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.

20. Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.

21. Push the X button to save your settings.

22. Do a quick test of the connection to make sure it's working correctly. first you need to have a wireless internet at home. next you need to turn on the wlan on your psp, located at the left side corner of your psp. search for a wlan around you. if its not secured, your lucky, you can connect anytime, but if it has a wep key, you need to find out the key to be able to connect. Switch the wlan button (located on the left side) to on and if don't aoss router seperate from the psp you cannot use automatic. So goto new connection and press scan. Follow on screen instructions.
If you do have an aoss router press button on the aoss router inself so the psp can find it.

Okay now that ive given you your answer make sure to follow fixya's system. Instead of taking the answer and running.

THANK YOU,
NATE

First of all, an aoss button is for wireless play. As for the wma songs, they need to be converted to mp3 format for better quality and to work.
