Check your power saving options on the pc. Sometimes power saving modes can try to help your PC but end up getting corrupt or frozen with other applications running.
Also check screensaver mode for anything that shouldn't be set. Try turning off both, any and all power options and screensaver options and what results do you get?
If nothing helps, something else is creating this problem such as a program running.
