Open up your computer to check usb connection make sure the connection is good and dust free
or you might have to clean the dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the CPU central processing unit and your sound card dust causes static to build up in a computer causing it to overheat any many other problems
be sure to wear an anti static earth strap before touching anything inside your computer
hope this helps
I have a similar issue with mine. I've had the Fast Track USB for 3 years, and have recorded many times with it, using XP, and Vista and have had no issues until now. I've recently purchased a new computer, Dell Latitude E6410, windows 7, 32 bit. I now get static sometimes when using the Fast Track. I'm using FLStudio, and even when I use ASIO4All through my Fast Track, I occasionally get the static. When I disconnect the Fast Track and use ASIO4ALL, no static at all. It sounds to me like it's a driver issue with windows 7. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Jeff.
again check the usb connection inside/outside your computer ot it might be a fault with the windows7 and the fast track usb compatability problem/issue
click start control panel, administrive tools, computer management, device manager, sound video and game controllers could be a yellow question mark? right click you will have options to update driver software disable uninstall scan for hardware changes and properties if you select properties then under the general tab you will see if your device is working properly under the driver tab you will have options to see the driver details also update driver roll back disable uninstall if you select the details tab there will be an array of details from the property drop down list hope this will help you
