Hello- My bosch dishwasher model shx33a05uc is running for 4+ hours before completing its cycle. The dishes are normally hot to the touch. Now, they are slightly warm. I think the control panel is going out. Any ideas?

This happens to Bosch dishwashers because the dishwasher stops heating the water and the dishwasher keeps running trying to heat the water up. Go to the link below and it will explain how to fix the issue.

Bosch SHX33A05UC/36 dishwasher seems to run for hours to do a load of dishes. Checked water temperature, drain and hose and all is clean. The rinse and hold cycle times out correctly. Is it a timer or...

Hi,
No, the problem in not the unit, it is programed to run up to 3-3 1/2 hours for a single cycle. You can select quick wash to shorten this time down, but this is not a problem with the unit. It wants to assure you have clean dishes and hot enough water to complete the program.
In testing one a few days ago, I ran into this same problem, I reread the time charts and cycles and found this to be normal for this manufacture.
I hope this answered your question.

Our dishwasher takes about 3-4 hours to run a cycle. My brother has the same model and it takes about an hour. Is there an adjustment that we can make to correct this? Thanks, Karla

make sure that your filter in the bottom is clean and if you are using the automatic wash cycle, it will wash until the water is clean. Sometimes it will take an hour, sometimes it will take close to 2 depending upon the level of dirty dishes in the dishwasher. And don't rinse! They work better on dirty dishes.

Dishes wont rince clean

Hello Dennis, welcome to Fixya. There are several factors which influence how your Bosch perform's. Saying that brings me to a point I have to ask a few questions. 1) How long have you had the unit...when did you buy it ? 2) do the dishes always appear dry when the cycle completes ? 3) How long does the unit take to complete a "normal" wash cycle ? 4) Do you have adequate hot water going to the unit ? Let me know as much as possible and I should be able to help. I will watch for your response. Macmarkus :)

I have a bosch dishwasher shu6805uc/u06 to long to wash.

Well not going into the dry cycle could be a timing issue or a EOC (control panel) issue and will need to be addressed. But most dishwashers these days have a active run time during normal cycle of 110 to 120 mins, and thats not including the heated dry feature. I would let the unit run and see if it will finish on its own, and if I say it pushes two and half hours then something is wrong. A tech would most likely have to look at it, also a power reset could help but thats like a 30% chance.

Bosch dishwasher she45m

Just bought a Bosch dishwasher and we were told that they have no heating mechanism to dry the dishes, which is why they are more energy efficient.  You are supposed to leave the door closed for at least one hour after the cycle is complete.  The heat that has built up inside during the wash cycle will dry the dishes.  It is also recommended to always use JetDry. If you follow this advice, the dishes will come out fine.
