Perhaps your TV is not compatible with the new digital signals you now get from your provider. But you should be able to get (buy) a digital receiver from your provider, that is can receive all channels and can be connected to the TV with a HDMI cable.

bab caps on power supply might need a power supply bd.

could be many issues. Take a flashlight and hold it right against the screen. Can you see a picture? if so the lcd is working but the backlights are not. If that is the case you could have bad power supply caps on the 24 volt section, a bad inverter board, or a bad ccfl lamp itself inside the back of the screen

hi you may have a power supply fault, could be capacitors look for a tech in your area hope it helps

turn off the picture in picture in the set up menu.

Look for child lock or other setting locks. Press factory default settings and then adjust everything as per your liking. This could also be due to button jammed on remote. If you notice problems still, it is better to refer it to a qualified service technician.

go to menu and select antenna type..

No one that I know of broadcast in 1080p yet. Only Blue-Ray DVD's. The set can't produce what's not there.

Unfortunately if you chose to view the non HD channels in wide screen format, you are going to have the top and bottom of the screen cut off. Eventually this will not be a problem when everything goes to digital. However presently non HD channels are presented in 3:2 ratio where as HD is 16:9, So your choice really is to view them with the lines on either side for now.

I do not have an answer for the white flickering lines.

To get the BEST picture out of your 1080p unit I highly recommend using HDMI cables to hook it up.
