Xoom should work just like an external drive. Just plug it in to the PC and it should install the drivers. Open my computer and find the Xoom, then copy paste all the files you want to an existing folder or create a new folder to copy the files in.

the best way to view media on your tablet is putting it on your SD card. Put the movies and songs on your SD card then just put your sd card in the tablet. Moreover, you can connect your computer to the tablet via USB to the "OTG" port and access the SD card.
