Try this: From home screen touch menu then go to settings then privacy then factory data reset and finally reset phone. This will reset you phone and prompt you to activate it when it starts up. This will erase all of your apps but not your contacts as they are sync'd with your Google account. This should fix your problem unless it is a hardware issue. If it is indeed a hardware issue take it to Verizon.

My htc in danish .. i need it in english ??

Hi there!
Changing the language of your HTC touch is really easy. Just follow this simple steps:
  1. Turn on your HTC Touch. Touch "Start" on your Home screen. Touch "Settings.
  2. Touch System > Regional Settings. Select the proper region for the language you desire. Touch "OK" when prompted and "Exit."
  3. Confirm your selection has taken effect by checking the language of any menu item from the Start screen. Your selections should be in the language you chose
If you need more information about your HTC Touch, just open this website: HTC Touch User Manual.
Hope this helps.

My HTC Hero is starting to overheat without me doing anything....no apps are running but the battery constantly is being drained

There is probably something running in the background that you may not know about. Some apps have a tendency of running even if you think you have exited it. I know Skype had a issue where it would not actually stop running even when you exited out of it.
Go to the Market and download an app called Current Widget. It keeps a log of running apps and services and how much current each of these pulls from the battery. You can look at the log and try to pinpoint the troublesome app or service. If it's a app you don't need, uninstall it. If it's an app you need, you may be able to force quit by using a task manager.
Good luck.

How to change the language of htc

1 Turn on your HTC Touch. Touch "Start" on your Home screen. Touch "Settings."

2 Touch System > Regional Settings. Select the proper region for the language you desire. Touch "OK" when prompted and "Exit."

3 Confirm your selection has taken effect by checking the language of any menu item from the Start screen. Your selections should be in the language you chose.

But base on the HTC website if you want to change the language of your OS you may refer to there disclaimer: The PDA phone's OS language may not be changed according to HTC agreement with Microsoft. It is therefore important that you specify your preferred OS language when you purchase your device.

HTC phone in safe mode, can this be fixed

Hi, When you're done troubleshooting problems with your HTC Hero in Safe Mode,
you will need to go through steps to boot it regularly and remove it from Safe Mode.

To do so, turn off the phone. Then while its off, hold the Menu and Power until the phone boots. The Hero should then no longer be in Safe Mode

Start the phone and uninstall apps in safe mode

If your phone keeps restarting, or it starts up but does not display the Home screen, a recently installed application may be causing the issue.

When this happens, try starting up your phone in safe mode. In this mode, your phone does not run any third-party applications. Safe mode allows you to start up your phone successfully so you can uninstall any applications that you have recently installed or which may be stopping your phone from starting up correctly.

To start up your phone in safe mode, press the END CALL/POWER button and hold the MENU button until your phone restarts and displays the Home Screen. You will see "Safe mode" displayed at the bottom-left side of your phone screen. When your phone is in safe mode, follow the same steps in Removing installed apps to uninstall the third-party applications.

After you finish uninstalling the applications, restart your phone and check if the issue is resolved.

Hope it helped.

Thanks for using fixya....
