Hello I was wondering how to use the VM acess with my phone. I want to be able to call from a different number and listen to my messages how do I go about doing so

If you don't remember password for your voce mail, you should go to your call-phone provider's Consumer attencion . They can reset your phone and you can define a new password. Problem is that all your data, even the message you want to listen, will be lost.
So, better try to remember.

try dialing your phone # from the same phone that the voice mail message is on.
Another tip is you can dial 611 from that same phone and it will usually route you to their customer service who will provide more specific instructions about different ways to access VM for that particular service provider.
Remember that both of these tips only work when used on phone in question. (cell phones and land lines)

I can help you w/that.there are 3 ways on accessing your VM via your mobile phone:

1st:
Long press the number 1 key on your phone's keypad then it'll dial your VM number and would ask for a PIN if PIN is setup.
Follow recording instructions or voice prompts and key presses until you get to hear your voice messages.

2nd:
For some mobile phone service providers,dialing your own mobile number automatically transfers you to your VM.again,if PIN is set up?it'll ask you to enter it,if not it'll automatically proceed to your VM.
Follow recording instructions or voice prompts as well as correct key presses until you hear your voice messages.

3rd:
Almost all mobile phone service providers has a so called "Voice mail Access Number"
This number can be dialled and goes straight to VM.
Voice prompts might ask you to enter your mobile number following the star key or pound sign on your mobilephone keypad.
Voice prompts might also ask you to enter your VM PIN(if seup).
Just follow Voice prompts and you're good to go.

This is an answer to the question you asked, how to update YOUR phone greeting. Either rate this as a FixYA (4 starts) or don't rate it at all if you're asking a different question.

When you dial into your voice mail from your phone, if you use 500, you're in your VM greeting and the lady says "enter password" or "you have xxx" messages. Option 31 and 1,2 or 3 for greetings. Note: If it says something about "temporary greeting" then select option 5 instead of 31 to change or delete the temp greeting. The other VM access code we use is 165 instead of 500. It's a left over number from the TD series systems.

If you have ESVM, where you can go off-hook and dial *383 to retrieve your messages, You access the recordings by dialing *382. If it starts to play back, then you need to consult your OM (Operating manual) or listen to the prompts to change your greetings for day and night.

Which ones? A Pana brand VM has an access code of 165. Your personal messages are in your box, the system messages (General Delivery Mailbox) are in mailbox 998. When you dial 165, you're automatically in your box. Mailbox 998 has a special access code that you dial and use to retrieve messages. We try to prevent messages from being dropped into the GDM, but it happens.

SOME WORKAROUNDs - which MAY NOT WORK for everyone!


while ensuring that the TBB line is ON HOOK - NOT OFF HOOK:

1) LISTEN to your NEW VM through the Portal. If you listen through Email forwarding - this will NOT cancel the flashing VMWI.

2) Access your TBB VoiceMail from another phone (cell) or through RemotePhone. LISTEN to your NEW VM from there.

The flashing VMWI should be OFF and back to normal operation! You need to repeat the above steps for any NEW VM.

•You need to have at least one NEW VM that you have not listened to for the above to work. So if there are no NEW VM, phone your TBB line and create one. Then LISTEN to it from the Remote Phone/ cell phone, or delete it from the Portal, and the light should go off.

•Note that listening to or deleting OLD VM (whether in CURRENT or SAVED folders) will do nothing!

try leaving yourself a voicemail and then listening to it and deleteing it again this sometimes will clear any glitches in the VM system

Try pressing and holding the MUTE (CLEAR) button until the handset beeps. Then clear all incoming calls.

Going to depend on what type of voice mail. One option to try is while listening to the message try 5* to rewind it or you can type 2 to restart the message.

This is how I was able to change the main message:
Press intercom 165. #6 *998.5.4.1 after leaving message press 1 to listen & 2 to save.
