I have a Simrad hydraulic drive HLD2000L autopilot on my boat. I can not find the recommended ISO VG 32 oil. Are there any substitutes that can be used until I find he correct oil? PS I am in the Bahamas on my way back to the states.

Which drive are you using with the AP24, is it just a hydraulic pump on a powerboat, like our RPU80, or is it a hydraulic linear drive (like our HLD-2000) or draglink drive (like our DD-15) on a sailboat?

Have you checked the CPU on the engine that the auto pilot connects to? All all connections tight? Are all fuses good?

yes, hook it to 12V it runs, reverse wires it runs opposite it will spit oil, watch out! shoulda coulda left it in place and tested with jumper cables or battery if pump is bad 1 find out why your boat eats pumps 2. call me, i have it in stock for less than you paid before (most likely) 3. you can replace the electric motor without disturbing the hydraulics!!!
