I believe the error 513 means a wipe of the system. Please check out this link. http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB13003&sliceId=SAL_Public&dialogID=96016977&stateId=1%200%2096020207
But please read fully and make sure to follow the steps carefully. I hope you backed up your info. Usually when I want to add songs to my bold, instead of using the desktop manager, I connect my BB to my PC and click open the folder. Then I simply drag the songs I want into the music folder. Same for pics etc. Hope that helped, Good luck
1-Give the Blackberry at least 1 minute without pressing any buttons or selecting any applications. Give it a chance to catch up and make sure it's actually "frozen".
2-Give the Blackberry at least 1 minute without pressing any buttons or selecting any applications. Give it a chance to catch up and make sure it's actually "frozen".
3-If the Blackberry is not "soft frozen" then it is in fact "hard frozen", which is generally where your smart phone will remain until you reboot it. To reboot open the battery door on the back of the Blackberry and simply remove the battery completely. Allow the Blackberry to sit without a battery inserted for at least 30 seconds.
4-Put the battery back into the Blackberry smart phone. It will take anywhere from 1 to 5 minutes to completely power up and become ready for use again. Your frozen Blackberry problems are now solved!
First, download and install the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager software from: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22&dl=DA5FB46338C8C0DCB1039F7898184FC5 Once installed, connect your BlackBerry to your computer via the USB sync cable. Open Desktop Manager, and click the Application Loader. On the right, you will see Update your device software. Click the Start Button, and if your BlackBerry is not on the latest Handheld Software, an update will appear. Select the update, and run the install. Be sure to select the option that backs up and restores your data. Once started, do not shut down your computer, or disconnect the USB sync cable as this could damage the device. Once completed, your BlackBerry will restart and you will have the latest version available. This version has been known to correct various issues. If the issue is still present, then it could be hardware related, and may need to be repaired or replaced. I would then suggest contacting your Provider for Hardware Support.
is very simple upgrade the software then plug your blackberry with your computer delete your old software from your blackberry and install the new one now works better and faster
The very same thing happened to my Blackberry Curve. The system has been completely wiped-out. The service is still there but you need to download the software to your phone again. You can fix it if you have access to the internet without the CD. Go to www.blackberry.com. then click on Software, then click on Device Software and follow the instructions from there( your phone must be connected to the computer while doing this with the USB cord) This will reload the software back on to your blackberry. Also, beware, you will lose all of your contacts that you had previously stored in your phone. I am so sorry that you are experiencing this on your vacation. Hope this helps.
This happens because the software might got corrupted, you need to reinstal
the software of your Handheld, Or walk into the service center.
Thank you for using Fixya.
For the initial issue, attempt a hard reset on the device: remove the battery from the BlackBerry while the device is still powered on. Leave it out for 30 seconds, then reinsert.
