How do you unlock the disk

I purchased an open box item at best buy the pioneer avic d3 but the demo disk is locked and will not eject can anybody help me out here thanks

I had the same problem when purchasing mine open box from CircuitCity. But this is how you do it. Pass it on.

While the unit is turned on, press and hold "MENU" and "Back (Track Left)" buttons simultaneously. Next, push and release reset button. Continue to hold "MENU" and "Back (track left)" until the unit reboots.

I have a pioneer avic d3, and it is asking for pets name...and wont let me into the unit...
You or the person before you has locked the unit. You may have to reset the unit. The reset button is located to the right of the eject button. You will need to use a needle or pen.

Battery went dead on my car and i need the master unlock for my avic-d3
Have you tried calling Pioneer and giving them the serial number? They should have at least something on file for a master lock code. It wouldnt make sense if they did not since we all lose important documents.

Have you tried returning this item? It sounds like there is a malfunction in the eject try taking it apart and blowing it to get all the dust out.

My Avic d3 won't eject
Try holding the menu and left arrow button at the same time you hit the (little) reset button. As the system reboots hit the eject button a few times. You may need to do this cycle more than once.

There is an update on ebay and other sites for about $250. Also try the pioneer web site. If this is new construction, it probably will not be available for atleast another year.

US / Uk compatability
Aside from the radio frequency, the unit will work fine. I am not so sure on the navigation, although I would imagine the detailed maps on the disks wouldn't have an issue loading up.

IPod Touch TV Out not working
Not sure if that works, but me us know if it does. Everything I have read suggests that it will not work. Apple has blocked any after market products from working like avic-d3. I think what you would also need with that is Apple TV. Let me know
