I dropped my blackberry and broke my screen, the phone worked still but I could not see anything on the screen, I replaced the screen with a new one and when I put the phone back together and put the battery in I just got a red light for about 3 seconds and nothing else happened, just a black screen.
This happened with my first blackberry and it never turned back on guess what softwar glitch it was never goig to work again so i got a new one the second one started having issues within a month and eventually got to the point where i couldnt wifi it would turn off on me for no reason tell me i had no service when i should have hang up on people freeze and simply sucked took it in to get it fixed guess what another software glitch that one went to blackberry heaven and i got another one this one is only 1 month old has all updated software and hey guess what no issues at all i suppose every phone has bugs in it to begin with look the aple iphone blew up when it first came out until they fixed the issues with it.
if your on a plan ur under warranty with blackberry take it back and there policy basically replaces the phone.

I had this problem today. It was the battery. I replaced the battery and the phone was fine. It did take a while to boot up, small back square with a second hand going clock wise. I also charged the old battery and now that works fine also. It did take a while to charge the old battery, ~half and hour.
I bought a blackerry and it has a red light that sometimes flash and wont turn on so wat shall i do !!!!!! help !!!

This seems to be an on going fault with BB 8100 phones. The internet is full of people with dead ones with black screens and flashing red lights.
My guess is they are stuffed when they get to this point, Its my last BB, here comes an iphone!!!
I tried the cooling off method and it did not work for me. I still get a blank screen and the red flashing light. This is real annoying.
Hi everyone!, I bought a few blackberrys off from Ebay auction, I won it off ( 5 peices of blackberry 6230) for. 99 cent, plus 9.00 for shipping. I was told of that these 5 peices of Blackberry that may or may not work, But can be used for parts, I won it off, and got it. so far ,I went through every one of them , one doesn't work, cause, the led blink once steady and blink three time fast. What is wrong with it? Anyone can explain it to me? much appreciate it! Damian

Hi everyone, I have the same issue like y'all have. I think I have found the problem. I had my first BB for the last 6 month precise :-). I think BB is a nice device, It came as brand new, never use, And it came with accessory. Last December after returning home from the train trip, My BB shut off itself without warning or nothing, and the led blink twice. or sometime it said "prefetch exception reset" or JVM error 203 and JVM error 507, I tried many way to get this fixed, and nothing happend, even though, I have tried to find many way to get it fixed, even thought tried to find it online for solution, Nothing happened. One day ,I put my BB next to Air Condition duct for 10 minutes, put the battery back on, and to my suprise, it came back to a life, but for a temporary time, it went dead, so , I tried the A/C method again, and it did work again. But it went dead on room temperature. So u guys , try that A/C method by taking the battery out and place your BB next to A/C vent and wait for 10 minute and put battery back in again and see if it works on you. if the method has something to do with room temperature, I had like to hear it from you guys if you can find the way on how it works again, was the heat sink in BB missing or what? i dnt know what happen to bb seems there phones is good but no... this is ******** all of my friends warn me bout it but i ignore them and yeah finally i got my blackberry i used for a month and now it dosnt turn on especially u need the most.. wat a P.S phones.. now i regret it and swear not to get this b.s no more its a waste of money....
