Re: Phone rings once and goes directly to voice mail
Check to see if you have accidently enabled the "send all calls" feature on your handset. When this feature is enabled, your phone will ring only once and then send the calls directly to voicemail.

What type of phone is this? Most home phones have a setting in them to adjust the number of rings. Retrieving voice mails requires the voice mail be set up first. To assist you further, please provide more details.
You have to go into the menu and reset the rings so that the phone will ring at least 4 times. Your owners manual should give you directions to do that. You can also call Panasonic.
Everything I have read on the voice mail problem refers to
resetting that feature on the phone (the headset is just an innocent
bystander). If you don't have the manual, you can contact Avaya for
assistance.
your voice mail is active and the time is set either 10 sec or 15 sec so you have to disable the voice mail box by going in the menu > settings> call forwared > option> select disable
