Kenmore coldspot model 106 53532300 leaking on the floor, freezer side.

Hi,

please double check that your freezer door is closing properly. You can also pull the fridge out and check whether the water is coming from the back of the of the fridge. If not, then that means there's a leak under the fridge and if that's the case you'll need to schedule a diagnostic on the fridge. You might reach out to Kenmore over the phone directly to ask them to send you a technician for this.

Thank you.

Water leaking under a fridge freezer

There can be 2 reasons for this ... the first is that the machine is causing condensation and is dripping on to the floor. Automatic defrosting fridge freezers do this but usually the quantity of water evaporates before any is on the floor.

If the Fridge / Freezer has an automatic Ice maker, or has a cold water supply, then I would suggest that there is a water leak to the system. In this case, find the water supply feed and turn it off to eliminate this as the source.
If this stops the leak, then either the supply is leaking or the problem is inside the fridge / freezer and you will need either a plumber or a repair man to fix the problem.

Ice maker quit working

Brenda, try the following.

1. disconnect power from the wall.
2. open fridge and freezer doors and leave them open for at least 5-6 hours. salvage foods you can.
3. after a few hours you will see a puddle of water under the fridge.
4. clean the floor and the fridge and freezer of any collected water.
5. power up the fridge and set at recommended level say 4.
6. you will hear humming noise. Let the fridge and freezer cool.
7. dont overload food.
good luck

Samsung refrigerator leaves puddles of water on the floor

it may be level but the floor may be uneven. find the lowest corner of the fridge, where it is lower than the door. Put some coins under the foot at that corner, does it make the door more aligned?

My fridge model CTF2123AR leaks water under bottom pull drawer. this pools water on the floor

Water found under the tray is due to excess defrost specially when the fridge is set to a lower temperature due to heavy frosting.
So during defrosting the excess water flows into the tray and overflows out which incidently has flooded on the floor.
What could be done is to drain off the tank, fully defrost the fridge by shutting down for few hours and then setting the fridge/freezer to a normal temperature.

HOT POINT FRIDGE - FREEZER DRIPS WATER

The evaporator coils frost up in normal use and every eight hours or so the entire unit shuts down and the defrost heater comes on to melt the frost. This cycle last about 20 minutes. The melted frost drips into a drain pan and through a drain tube to the drain tray under the freezer/refrigerator where it's evaporated by the condenser fan.

Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help. Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the back of the freezer.

Leaking water on the front corner of the freezer side. We have turned off the water to the icemaker and have turned off the icemaker. Still leaking, not fast, but each day I clean up a puddle.

That is from your defrost drain either being clogged with food, or covered with ice. Behind the back wall in the freezer is a drain that empties underneath the fridge. If that drain gets blocked or froze over then the water will dump into the floor of the freezer and out the door gasket. Look in your freezer floor for ice build up. If you don't see anything like that or if you think the water is coming from underneath the fridge, then it is your condensate pan underneath. They crack sometimes.

Ice under freezer floor, water in fridge (drain clogged)

in the freezer remove the cover plate where the fan is an insert a pipe cleaner into the drainage tube opening.
