SOURCE: Recorder says "PLEASE DOWNLOAD FILES," but there are no files to download

The DS-2 has a format option in the menu under submenu. After you choose start you will see a progress bar and it should return to full record time. Use on a MAC seems to cause the reduced record time more often than on a PC.

SOURCE: File transfer VN-480PC doesn't work on notebook (Vista)

I had the same problem on XP. The long instructions with downloading updates for wave player did not help. I managed to solve this problem.

Solution:

Go to Control Panel and press Add Hardware. Search for new hardware and allow windows to go on the net to search for the drivers. It will find and install drivers. After that functionality in the Digital Wave Player will become active and you can transfer your files onto pc.

My PF-A102B had plenty of memory available but would not accept more than about 450 pictures. I reckoned that the File Allocation Table was full. I reformatted the 1Gb chip NTFS and I was then able to put...

Please reformat the memory to FAT, NTFS file system may prevent the camera from initializing the memory.

Hope this works out for you

My samsung s630 says the memory is full. I cleared photos from the sd card and internal memory, but still can only take four pictures in the lowest quality and size setting.

Memory card might gone bad but can do this following troubleshooting step. Formatting a memory ** This is used for formatting the memory. If you run [Format] on the memory, all images, including the protected images, will be deleted. Be sure to download important images to your PC before formatting the memory. Sub menus
[No] : The memory will not be formatted. Press the menu button three times and the menu display will disappear.
[Yes] : A [Processing!] message appears and the memory will be formatted. If you run FORMAT in Play mode, a [No Image!] message will appear. 1d36119.png
Be sure to run [Format] on the following types of memory card.
- A new memory card, or an unformatted memory card
- A memory card that has a file this camera can't recognize or one that has been taken from another camera.
- Always format the memory card using this camera. If you insert a memory card that has been formatted using other cameras, memory card readers, or PCs, you will get a [Card Error!] message. ** There might be bad sectors on your memory card.

Every picture I take results in two images on my memory card. If I delete one, I no longer have access to the image.

Check the Burst setting under the Capture Menu - that can cause the camera to take more than one picture at a time. Also, check the "Bracketing" setting to make sure that is turned off. If neither of those fixes it, copy all of the pictures off the card and reformat it INSIDE the camera (use the camera's menu to reformat the card).
Also, take a close look at the files, especially the properties of each file. Some cameras store both a thumbnail AND a full-resolution shot on the card. You could be mistaking the thumbnail for another copy of the same image. The properties of the thumbnail file will be VERY small resolution, probably 120x120 pixels or some such size.
Good luck, and please rate this answer if you feel it has helped!!
