Hi' My nuvi 360 Stuck on loading maps & can't see the e: drive
Have you reset the unit yet (little pusbutton behind the aerial)
After googling all over, I finally got my really old Garmin Nuvi 360 Mini (for Mini Cooper) working by upgrading the firmware using Garmin Express. It was a subtle option to install options, right after languages. I kicked myself and facepalmed because it's right there in Garmin's website. When I googled again, it showed up. But of course, I didn't trust anything on Garmin's own website because I prefer hacks online.
I was not able to resolve this myself. I spoke with a Garmin technician and worked through all possible solutions. I ended up sending it in to Garmin and they sent back a refurbished unit. The turn-around was less than a week - great response! The refurbished unit also had the lastest software installed so there were a couple new features to play with.

You almost there. You need to clear the user POI in maintenance mode. That user POI mode somehow corrupted your booting sequence.

I have the same problem on my nuvi 350. Screen won't get past "loading maps" tried reset button on the back. Tried clearing user settings: with unit turned off, touch top left corner then power on. Keep touching upper left until maintenance mode message box appears. Tried going through the pre-boot, booting sequence: with unit turned off, touch upper right corner of the screen. Press and HOLD the power button until "Booting" appears.
Also, when unit is connected to my computer it is not recognized.

I have the Nuvi 360 that I bought from MINI and I'm having the same issue it gets to loading maps and then stops tried all the same remedies nothing. What I found works however is connect it to a power source during boot up then disconnect it when it gets to loading maps and it brings you to the continue on battery screen and then if you click continue it loads like normal.
My gps gets to loading maps and then powers off automatically. I tried resetting the gps by pressing the button on the back and it does not seem to be working.
Same problem with my 2 year old Garmn Nuvi 370. Turn it on and it won't get past Loading Maps screen.
