My Websearch may not technically be spyware, but they're close enough. I prefer not to run anything like it. To uninstall:

First, uninstall the My Web Search option from Add/Remove Programs
1) Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel
2) Double click on Add/Remove Programs
3) Find "My Web Search" in the list of installed programs and click on Change/Remove to uninstall it. You may also want to uninstall any of the following items associated with FunWebProducts.

  • My Web Search (Smiley Central or FWP product as applicable)
  • My Way Speedbar (Smiley Central or other FWP as applicable)
  • My Way Speedbar (AOL and Yahoo Messengers) (beta users only)
  • My Way Speedbar (Outlook, Outlook Express, and IncrediMail)
  • Search Assistant - My Way
4) Reboot your Computer and run HijackThis
5) With HijackThis, scan for and fix any of the entries shown above that may be remaining.
6) Next, open My Computer, Drive C, and double-click on the Program Files folder
7) Right-click and delete the folders for:
  • FunWebProducts
  • MyWebSearch
8) MyWebSearch should now be completely uninstalled from your computer.
9) There will be some minor registry entries left behind by the uninstall, however these can be cleaned up by running SpyBot Search and Destroy or Ad-Aware SE or left alone.

I cant delete My web search

MyWebSearch is actually part of a suite of applications called Fun Web Products which is detected as an adware by most antivirus programs. This may include Smiley Central and My Mail Stationery. You may uninstall it from Programs&Features or Add/Remove Programs. Also navigate to Program Files and look for folders named MyWebSearch and Fun Web Products. For complete removal you may download using Malwarebytes from this link : www.tinyurl.com/mbam123 and follow installation steps.

I am trying to remove mywebsearch home page. it is not on my list of programs and have searched everywherw to uninstall it and cannot find it. help please!

I'm not sure what you're trying to do here? Is mywebsearch youre default homepage in internet explorer etc, and you want to change it?

If so, then hold alt, select tools on the top, select internet properties in the menu.
There you will be able to change your homepage.

If you're having issues with the mywebsearch toolbar, try reading this.

Somehow "mywebsearch" with MyFunCards, Smiley Central, Screensavers and Cursor mania got onto my computer, how do I remove it?

Hi aabradley,
you probably installed something and missed the checkmark asking you if you want to install mywebsearch also. It is a pain in the **** when the companies do this and it is very easy to miss or forget to uncheck the box. at any rate you can normally uninstall these "add-ons" by opening up your Control Panel (Start > Control Panel) then click on Add / Remove Programs. once the list of software is populated look for MyWebSearch. Once you have found it click on it to deinstall it.

Hope I was able to help you out.

Error loading C:PROGRA~2MYWEBS~1ar.binF3SCRCTR.DLL

You have MyWebSearch Toolbar Adware installed, or remnants of the program. Download, Install, and Run Quick Scan of Malwarebytes from www.malwarebytes.org. Usually you get MyWebSearch from installing Screensavers and Toolbars, or other bundled Freeware Programs.
