My Sanyo PLC X U 73 projector won't recognize the laptop computer hooked up to it. I have tried different laptops and different VGA cables. When it turns on, Computer 1 is displayed on the upper left of the screen with a lightbulb under it. I have never seen the lightbulb before. Can anyone tell me what is wrong?

Ok kumar i did some research on your problem.

Im not real savvy with projectors, but im going to try and lead you into the right direction. Now when you connect your projector to your computer, you need to go to your input settings on your projector and put them on "auto". In your product manual it says the computer should automatically detect the projector. Now if the projector isnt displaying a proper screen then you need to to go into the manual settings and adjust the settings.

This is the manual for your projector. Scroll down to the table of contents and click on the bold letters COMPUTER INPUT click that and read a little about the way your computer connects to the projector. I hope this helps, please let me know an update. thnx

this is the normal condition> only when green led is off and warning temp led(yellow) is on something is wrong!!

In the on-screen menu...
Press MENU, go to SETTINGS ICON, Move to Lamp Reset

Also, to see lamp hours used, press and hold the UP ARROW (on the unit, not on the remote) for 30 seconds while projector is on.

The screen resolution must be correct or you will get no picture. Ensure it is compatible with the projector.
