I need the firmware of the gc-822

You should be able to download the driver here: http://www.elementelectronics.com/support_downloads.html

Just select "GC-820" on the dropdown menu after "MP3 Players"
Then, click "Get Driver"
It should start downloading it to your computer.

(FYI: GC-820, GC-821, GC-822 and GC-823 are all the same model of MP3 player, they're just different colors)

Since you posted this under "Mac Laptops", though, I'm not sure the driver will help you out. According to Element Electronics' website (http://www.elementelectronics.com/products/mp3_players/2g-gc-800/2g-gc-800.html), it looks like the MP3 player is only compatible with Windows machines.
If you *are* on a Mac, try just plugging your MP3 player into the computer and see if your computer recognizes it.

I'm not sure if this MP3 player will work on a Mac though. Plug it in and see if it shows up in Finder.

Describe your element gc-822 error Problem I loaded the songs and they wont play. It says "disc error."

check to see if your files are MP4, vs MP3. MP4 files won't play in this player, so you'd have to convert them to mp3.

Go to the manufacturer's web site via this link:

http://www.elementelectronics.com/support_downloads.html

Select gc-820 type mp3 player and click on "get driver". After downloading decompress and install the software. Try the player update tool and perhaps you should repair your device using this utility.

i could not find what i need my computer is a public comeputer and it does not recognize the mp3 player being conected to the computer i have no access to go to my computer via start button how can i fix it the website you gave gives no information.

I have one also and i go to install the software and my computer say device unfound. i cant sync it without being able to install it on the computer. What do i do how do i figure this out if you think you know plz text me the answer 706-455-7760

After downloading the gc_810_820_920_940_120.rar file from the web site you have to unpack it. Then you will see more files. All files are to be copied to an exclusive folder. Run the setup.exe and follow the instructions. I hope it will be successful to install in this way. gylacz
