what kind of cables are you using? Make sure you get the HDMI cables. Also, the S and V Sony series only have a refresh rate of 60Hz, which means that when you get fast action scenes or when people are moving, you will see a very noticeable blur. There really is nothing you can do about this. I had a V series and immediately returned for a W series, which has a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Sometimes, you can still see the pixelation, especially if the TV can't handle the response time, but it is definitely less noticeable than the other series.

you can have the inverter board replaced...instead of the entire panel.

you're looking @ 200-300$ for the inverter and 5-10$ a piece for the spacers.
