Can I hook up headphones to a computer, if so how do I fix my problem. Thankyou

I take it the headphones are charged up and known to be in good working order? Are you using the 3.5mm headphone jack on the side of the TV or the white and red RCA jacks labeled AUDIO OUT (VAR/FIX)? If using the headphone jack the TV should shut off the internal speakers and output to the headphones. If using the mentioned RCA jacks you need to go into the audio options settings and set to Audio System. Also under audio settings, Audio Out, you can pick Fixed or Variable. If you opt for Fixed you will use the headphones to adjust the volume. If you opt for Variable you can control the headphone volume and muting using your TV remote control. Just make sure you have the headphone volume turned up adequately.

If I understand the question right are you trying to hear sound from your computer through your bose system? If you are then you need to hook a 1/8 mm headphone jack style cable on one end to the headphone jack on computer and on the other end of the cable you need a standard red and white rca type connection that hooks to back of bose system for sound. This cable is called a mini to rca stereo cable the pin connection for the computer has 2 little black bands around the plug there are 2 bands for 2 channel stereo sound.

you have to hook up the 1/4 headphone jack plug to the TV, from the computer. an Y audio cable with RCA plug (male) with headphone 1/4 male plug. hook the headphone jack to the green hole of the computer(sound out) to the audio input of the TV better yet to a stereo AUX port. also make sure the mute button hasnt been pressed.

For this problem i believe try to do the above steps. switch to recovery mode then connect the player to the computer. When the player is connected to the computer open the version.txt document and see if your firmware is up to date if not try to update the firmware of your player. I believe the latest one is 18 or something. If your firmware is up to date try to call sandisk, i had this problem once but they resolve it with the steps i have said.
