If you want good results you must clean the print heads manually. Follow the procedure below:-

Apply a folded tissue paper to the ink nuzzle and press firmly. If the tissue comes off well blotted with ink it means you still have a good amount of ink in it and the nozzle is not blocked. If not blotted or scantily blotted, it means ink is really low or nozzle is blocked. To be very sure of this, place nuzzle in a plate/saucer with a bit water so that the nozzle is soaked. Leave for about 10 minutes. Then apply the tissue again. If still not well blotted it means ink is really low or empty. If new you should return it for a replacement. In the case of blocked nozzles, the procedure may be repeated over to get results.

If the yellow continues to print green, you must reinstall or format your system. Usually wrong colour registration is caused by a malfunction in the system not the printer. If it is a printer issue it usually returns gradually to the right colour after a number of print outs.

Good luck and God bless!

My Officejet 6000 E609n printer doesn't print the correct colors. The red is printing yellow and the blue and green are a lighter version of what is on the screen. I have cleaned the printer head

Hi,

This is not a cartridge issue. IT is Printhead issue. Since you have done the manual cleaning, it is now time to replace the Printhead.

Can't keep the yellow ink flowing - stops printing shortly after cleaning. I have cleaned it 5-6 times. Prints yellow right after cleaning then color fades out half way through first page.

Hi! Ok, Is you cartridge refilled? if yes then your yellow tank in the cartridge is maybe out. You can try this: Take a paper napkin and lightly and slowly touch the cartridge head where the color come out. If your cartridge is ok you should see some trace on the napkin. Try this a few time and your ink should be more and more be visible on the napkin.
If no trace then you have a problem with the cartridge head.
I hope it helped to you. Any question post me a message on [email protected]

Happy Spring.. I have a C7280 all in one..It is not printing in color...the pictures come out faded in black & white.. All my color cartridges are full...except for yellow..that is not completely...

You may need to clean the print haed. A self test report will show this, if so do the following

To clean the print head from the control panel
1. Load letter or A4 unused plain white paper into the input tray.
2. Press Setup.
3. Press to highlight Tools, and then press OK.
4. Press to highlight Clean Printhead, and then press OK.
The HP All-in-One cleans the print head and prints a page that you can recycle or
discard.

How to improve print quality
Cleaning the print head
To ensure good print quality, the MFC will regularly clean the print
head. You can start the cleaning process manually if needed.
Clean the print head and ink cartridges if you get a horizontal line in
the text or graphics on your printed pages. You can clean Black only
or three colors at a time (Cyan/Yellow/Magenta), or all four colors at
once.
Cleaning the print head consumes ink. Cleaning too often uses ink
unnecessarily.
Caution
Do NOT touch the print head. Touching the print head may cause
permanent damage and may void the print head’s warranty.
1 Press Ink.
2 Press or to select Cleaning.
Press Menu/Set.
3 Press or to select Black, Color or All.
Press Menu/Set.
The MFC will clean the print head. When cleaning is finished,
the MFC will go back to standby mode automatically.
If you clean the print head at least five times and the print has
not improved, call Brother Customer Service (see Brother
numbers on page i).

Alarm flashes ink emptyhas ink! color was printing only yellow/green now prints only red/pink!

any chance it has dried out? run the test / head cleaning / did you reset the cartridge when you replaced it? generally if one or two colors work - the problem is the ink cartridge or the head for the colors not working. Did you remove the "tape" on the new cartridge?

I have a Xerox Phaser 8400 with image problems. After power up it prints a Startup Page - That page is black text which faded and slightly distorted in some areas and in areas that are in Color only...

What you are describing is a bad print head. You can try running the eliminate light stripes several times, and jet substitution, but most likely the print head will have to be replaced to remedy your problem.
You can try googling. Phaser printer print heads or phaser printheads.
There seems to be a secondary market appearing for those print heads. I can tell you from Xerox, if you have no maintenance agreement, they cost $750 per print head.
Honestly, having worked on about every type of color printer known to man, the new solid ink phaser printers, produce a dry ink image of 2400 x 2400 dpi with ink particles that align end to end. The resolution of those printers are remarkable and can be purchased for less than the price of one of those new print heads.
Now for reliable, albeit somewhat not as sharp a color image, but still exceptional, you really can not beat an HP.
The ink stick technology really no longer has the color vividness advantage it initially had. The inks that align end to end, have ended that advantage and are sure a lot cheaper to operate per page.

R1800 printing way too green/yellow

I have the same problem. Your printer head is clogged. You can use the head cleaning utility within Epson. However, if that doesn't work, you may need to use a head cleaning solution.
