Chair was working fine. Then it was plugged in for several days. LIghts come on, but chair will not move. Can batteries be over charged? We did push reset button in front, but that did not make any difference. We don't know where the batteries are located on the chair. User is 94 and I am tech challenged. Evonne

Evonne the batteries were probably overcharged you should never leave it charging for more that 12 hours Check that the freewheel levers are in the drive postion they are two levers under the front of the seat. They should be pointing toward the center of the chair. If they are in the drive mode then there are other problems. Contact Roadrunner Mobility @ 1-800-467-2668 to see if they have a tech that can come out to check the chair Medicare will pay for most of the repair cost if they paid for the chair. Hope this helps

the batteries are not charged and need to be replaced. The reason you have lights is because the charger is supplying power to the chair and the chair will not move when the charger is plugged in because of the inhibit function. Sweet you do not need to leave the charger plugged in for several days. Sounds like there is a charger problem When you first plug the charger in with batteries depleted you should be getting a red and yellow light with the yellow turning green when fully charged. now the charger (built in) could have become unplugged from the power module located in the rear of the chair behind the black cover. To get to it you have to remove the seat, shroud and batteries then using a phillips screwdriver and adjustable wrench remove the black cover. The charger cord will be the last one on the left with a small 4 pin white plastic plug make sure it is well seated in the power module. If it isn't loose then you have a problem with the charger or the circuit. Now if you know of a friend that has an off board charger for a chair or scooter that you can borrow you can charge the batteries using the charger port located under the front of the joystick Plug the charger into the port then into the wall socket and let er rip Charge until the light turns green overnite is a good habit to get into If the onboard charger is bad I would suggest you by an offboard charger (cheaper) Now if Medicare paid for your Dads Chair then they will pay for any repairs even batteries and you can contact the provider that your dad got the chair from to see if they will repair it Hope this helps

I have a Jazzy1113,it had been unused for several years.I did not take right steps to take care of batteries. I tryed several months ago to start and of course would not,but i do remember some movement...

There is a 7.5 Amp ATO automotive fuse on the rear electronics tray that is probably burnt out. The ammeter will not work when this happens. Also, if you have a bad on-board charger that will inhibit movement of the chair. Unplug the on-board charger and see if you get it to move. Hope this helps.

Battery fully charged chair levers engaged to drive position chair still will not move.. Jazzy 600.... Tried unlock/lock tried putting it in neutral back in drive with levers still wont move please...

Has your scooter been sitting idle for several weeks, or has it been connected to the charger 24 hours a days for a long time? If so, the batteries may have become damaged and will give you enough power to turn the controller on but not enough to make the motors run.
If the lights come on and are steady, the manual brake levers are in the drive position and the chair still will not move, I recommend replacing the batteries. If anything else were wrong, either the lights would flash or not come on at all.
I hope this information is helpful to you, good luck!

What is the proper way to charge the Pronto M51

Eduardo After using your chair and the battery level lights are down with yellow or red lights showing just plug the chair into the wall socket and let er rip. Now really after using your chair during the day and you are ready for bed just plug in the charger and let it charge over night. In the morning unplug the charger and you should be set for the day. If you don't use the chair everyday always put it up with a full charge and about once a week plug it in and let it charge overnight. Never leave the chair plugged in all the time and never leave it for more that 24 hours. The charger has two lights on it one red and one yellow or green that are hard to see because they are under the rear cover. When the chair is fully charged the yellow light turns green and you can unplug the charger and you should have a full charge. Hope this helps you

Wheel chair won't move. Batteries have been charging for several hours and have some charge but chair will not move.Any suggestions? Thanks

Romp, Did you check the freewheel levers chair will not move if you are in freewheel. Levers are in front next to seat posts and need to be facing forward. If you are not in freewheel then check the number of lights you have on on the joystick and that they aren't flashing. Also check that your speed control is not on the lowest setting even with some charge a slow speed setting will not let the chair move. Now by some charge you mean lights in the green on the joystick? If the lights aren't flashing then I'm kinda unsure other than even with some charge the batteries don't have enuf current to drive the motors and need to be replaced Hoe this helps

When turning power it makes a clicking sound but does not power up. battery charger has a red and green light on. When plugged in and turned on it flashes 8 times. I checked the power control connection,...

The chair will not move if the charger is plugged in. The flashes are normal with the charger plugged into the chair. The lights on the charger mean that the batteries have been fully charged. Red and yellow lights mean charging. After you unplug the charger from the chair (if off-baord charger, turn charger off or unplug from the wall) then unplug from joystick. after plug is removed from joystick press the on button and all the battery lights should be lit and when you move the joystick forward you will hear the electric bake release and the chair should move forward etc Hope this helps

My battery is charged and all the lights come on but chair will not move. I cant get it to unlock

Of course it could be a major mal-function- but not likely.

I'm sure you've already checked to make sure the chair is in-gear. That is the levers near the rear of the chair. If you can put your hand on the chair and push the chair, it's not in gear. When in gear you won't be able to push it.

Just because the lights are coming on does not mean the batteries are good. If the chair has been sitting for a while you'll probably need to replace them.

Led lights flash and Pride Go chair won't move.

Firstly disengage the drive levers and then "flick "them in fash.
Second pull out the large plug that is between them.
Check for damaged or bent or loose pins. press it home firmly .
I did this on my wifes chair and she zooms around.
All switched etc should be off during charge.

Lastly i fully discharged then recharged the battery to ensure no "battery charge memory".
To fully dicharge i shoved a small box between back wheels so to lift of ground and then a elastic band to hond controler on.
