USB over current error display...how do you get rid of that annoying display box....when I press menu...the tv goes off for 20 seconds...then returns back on...only to have the display box pop up again after about a minute of time....

most likely you can press either the 'Menu/Select' or 'Home/Return' buttons located on your remote control to exit the USB setting and return to the main menu. If you do not have a remote control, try unplugging the power cord and waiting for at least ten seconds before plugging it back in. Then use the in-TV controls buttons to try to exit the USB setting and return to the main menu

I do not see a Samsung TV with the model UE40B7020. (What country are you in?) I do have documentation for the UE40C7000WW.

Is the TV in Shop Demo Mode? Press the Info button on the remote to see the mode. If it reads "Store Demo", try resetting it. Press the Volume button on the TV or the remote. While the Volume circle is displayed on the screen, press and hold the Menu button on the TV for about 7 seconds (the remote will not work for this). Home Mode should display on the TV screen.

Alternatively, you can set this from the TV menu system. Make sure that the current input is TV. Press Menu then select Setup (up/down arrows followed by Enter). Select the Plug and Play sub menu and follow the on-screen directions to reset the tv to the Home Mode.

If the TV is under Warranty Return it at once and Ask for Another Set or Refuind your Money.
This Set has either poor Solder connections or the SSB board needs to be replaced.
If this was my Set I would return it.

This is a text box. This can be turned off under the closed captioning. There should be a cc button on your remote or the closed captioning features can be accessed from your television's menu. Turn closed captioning completely off to get rid of these text boxes.

Keep in mind that closed captioning can also come from your cable box or satellite receiver as well.

The only way out of this is to reset the TV back to 'shipping condition'. Go to Analogue Mode and then press Menu. In SETUP pick 'shipping condition' and ok your way through. Then switch off and back on again after a minute, and let it retune etc.

The annoying screen messages now disappear after a couple of seconds. Viola

hold the Menu button on the TV (not on the remote) down for three seconds.
Note: Shop Mode is activated in the same manner: Pressing and holding the Menu button on your TV for three seconds. To avoid accidentally setting your TV to Shop Mode, avoid pressing and holding the Menu button on the TV for three seconds or more.

I had the same problem but then i remembered what my 2port kvm was like and you can hit scroll lock 2x then press the up and down arrow key to change ports and this is the same way and to get rid of the annoying scrren on top that tells you which port just hit escape, and to get the menu scroll lock twice and space bar.

i had the same problem with my rca truflat.. i read from a posting of a similar problem with a different tv brand to switch your closed caption options 'off' or set it to a 'cc' option instead of the 't' options.. (this was done through the on-screen menu..) i gave it a try and it worked for my tv.. hope it works for you..
