I need my surname changed on my account as I havent used this name for over three years it is Clarke but want Thomas on it instead

A Youtube account is linked to a gmail account. Goto mail.google.com and click on create account, make up a new name for the account, for instance your name then a dot then surname. If you have a common name add some numbers, mostly google comes up with examples. Take one, or choose your own nrs. Create a long password and change it every 2 months or so. Also it is wise to set up 2 factor authentication: google will send a code to your phone to check it is you.

To edit your name:

1. Click in the top right of your Facebook homepage and select Settings
2. Look for the Name section and click Edit to the far right
3. Type in your name and click Save Changes
