To activate the phone lock protection:

  1. Select Menu > Settings > General (tab).
  2. Select Security > Locks > Phone protection.
  3. Select Protection > On.
  4. Enter the default phone lock code "0000".

To change the phone lock code:

  1. Select Menu > Settings > General (tab).
  2. Select Security > Locks > Phone protection.
  3. Select Change code and follow the instructions.

Default 6 Digit Security code: 123456 or 000000

By default, the passkey varies depending on the region which it was manufactured for.
Below is a list of codes that you can try and if none of them works, then the former owner may have changed it and you may need to ask him for it.
