Electrolux Icon side-by-side E23CS75DSS - repair man replaced the defrost thermostat and now the digital temp display flashes. The freezer temp display flashes "E" and the fridge display flashes "F". I turned the unit off and back on, and the temp display comes on correctly for a few seconds, than back to flashing "E" and "F. Same thing happens when I press the temperature up and down buttons.

Hello,

Sounds like you have a evaporator fan motor. That is what the error code you have indicates, the fan blade could be stalled to.

I work on these units every day and know them very well, I can walk you through any repair on this refrigerator.

Electrolux door alarm Won't stop. We open door to turn off alarm. Temp seems right but slight condensation at the very top of the fridge. Need to at least disable alarm until I can get a repair.

Check the back wall of the freezer, I would suspect the beginnings of or a full-on defrost failure... If there is frost on the back wall of the freezer it means the evaporator is blocked, disallowing airflow to the fridge compartment... Electrolux Refrigerator Defrost Thermostat 216731001 . If there is no blockage, but temps are still not cold enough, your Frigidaire may be leaking refrigerant...

Frigidaire 2004 side by side, FSC23F7DWO flashing error code 2. Now what?

look at the lower half of the back of the freezer wall in the freezer,if you see frost you have a bad defrost heater ,control,or defrost thermostat.make sure the fan in the freezer and cond.enser in back are working. coil under ref may need cleaned,if you un plug for 10min listen, plug in. if you hear humm, and click.over load -relay is bad.

Electrolux icon side by side fridge is flashing E and F instead of holding the temp for the freezer and fridge. How can I fix this?

Hello Debbie Zymet - Typically error code E and F indicates that there is an error with the evaporator fan in the refrigerator compartment and fan in freezer. I would suggest contacting a professional move forward accurately for proper diagnosing and repair.

The Electrolux refrigerator is not working it's not cold but the freezer is working I was told it may be the thermostat. Food and milk in fridge is getting spoiled. It's been out for 3 days already. Thank...

First thing to check is if (a) the evaporator fan is running in the freezer and (b) if there is a build up of ice on the freezer wall. If the fan is not running in the freezer the ref. side won't cool. If there is a build up of ice on the freezer wall, then you a defrost system problem and there won't be any circulation to the ref. side. If you have a defrost problem, the defrost system consist of 3 parts: timer, bi-metal thermostat, and heaters. With fridgidaire more than likely the adaptive defrost board(timer) located in the fridge on the upper left side behide some white pastic is bad. If you change it go ahead and change the bi-metal thermostat, located behind the freezer wall, as well because its a very cheap part and will save you from having to do it later.

also check defrost timer, defrost thermostat. In most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board. If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control.

Electrolux E23CS75DSS Noise

Hi Andy, I have had luck insulating the cap tube coming off the heat exchanger, going into the evaporator. If the repair man can wrap some mastic around the area where the cap goes into the evap, this may quiet it down enough. This is common on some models. Some people are more in tune to it than others. Give that a try. Catriver.
