Sonicwall is most likely a work based internet filter that prohibits access to certain sites that the webmaster dictates. You can appeal access to Facebook, but chances are, if you are at work, it will be denied. There are ways around this using certain websites called a "proxy", but these will most likely be automatically blocked as well.

Sonicwall content filter is a product for enterprises to block employees from reaching external websites.

Sadly you will not be able to get there without breaking company policy :(.

I suspect you are using either a school/office/etc web access, the best way around this is to search for proxy servers you can go to so that it will unblock the site.

I have restricted access to facebook on my network using sonicwall NSA 240 firewall by adding www.facebook.com in restricted domains. if someone tries to access it directly he is not getting the site. But...

Isn’t the internet great?

Well the way that these filters work is that they look for the EXACT address: www.facebook.com. To fix this you’ll want to add https://www.facebook.com and http://www.facebook.com. This will help the filter to see all combinations and block them all.

Let me know how this turns out!

I am using sonic TZ190 Firewall and unable to access yahoo.com mails the page is not displaying contents

I have determined that the problem is actually 69.147.112.160, which seems to be a login server at yahoo. I say this because you can actually browse the Yahoo website, and go to new.mail.yahoo.com without any problems. However, trying to connect to mail.yahoo.com or login.yahoo.com returns the above error.

How to switch over opt port to wan port in sonicwall

In order to do this, you will need to order the sonicwall OS enhanced. You can do this from your mysonicwall.com account.

After you upgrade the firmware, you will have a network load balancing option. you can then set the primary and secondary connections and use the active/passive failover option that is provided.

Unit will not resolve DNS

Ditch the Barracuda and use the SonicWall Content Filtering option, it's cheaper anyhow.

Barring that, reset it to default, and make sure that it is using the SonicWall as its gateway, along with the proper DNS settings. Also, check for a firmware upgrade on the unit. I've run into a few Barracudas that have nothign in the knowledge base but a firmware upgrade fixes them.

WSUS will not download updates

Are you behind a firewall performing some kind of deep packet inspection/AV/Spyware removal? It may be corrupting your HTTP Range headers during BITS transfers on the client.
I experienced a similar error through a SonicWall with GatewayAV (no proxy, just the Sonic) and had to enable HTTP byte-range requests. This can happen to both server and client BITS downloads...
