Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

My advice is to first start with checking the balance of the washer then consider the last paragraph of my notes below. It is possible that the drum or motor supports are malfunctioning or there is a problem with the belt drive. You would need to take the back off to see obviously- but with power removed first ;-0)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is necessary to ensure absolutely that the machine, even when empty, has all 4 feet very firmly on the floor, and I mean firmly.

Doesn't matter whether it is empty or not but switch it off then-
very firmly push one front corner diagonally into the centre of the machine (sorry about my UK spelling!) and see if the machine moves or rocks AT ALL, even the slightest. If it does you will need the open-ended spanner which came with the (new) machine........which of course went missing a long time ago?!! An adjustable spanner will suffice.
Adjust the foot under that corner downwards until it is very firmly- almost pushing- against the floor but not so far that the corner lifts up!
If this corner did not rock do the same to the other.
Once you cannot rock the machine the slightest little bit, screw the locking nuts up tight to the underside of the machine so that they will not move. Ideally the rear feet should also be locked.

If this has not cured the problem it is possible that the internal drum suspension is malfunctioning.

Good luck,

John C

Whirlpool cabrio started making a loud noise when spinning. I've replaced the suspension springs before. Is that all I need to order? It's been a while.

Sounds like the bearings are toast. These machines have a poor seal in the tub which allows water to penetrate the bearings, drying/rusting them out. Go on "youtube" and search your problem. I use a 2"X4" and a jack on the center shaft to lift the drum out. Bearing tool and shaft/bearing, seal kit is approx. $150. Should take you approx. 4 hrs. if you're handy.

Washer makes rumbling noise during spin cycle

You have to take the whole drum out and IT IS YOUR BEARING(s). Order all four of them

Hi,i have a hotpoint aquarius wf340.which makes a very loud banging noise every time it spins,it works fine otherwise!

I had the same issue with a similar machine. Need to replace the spindle assembly (or otherwise make sure) that the belt is tight. Try replacing belt first.
Make sure machine is level. test it by putting some stuffed sockes in the machine, let them get thrown around. Listen for the banging noise, apart from the soft socks hitting the tumbler.

Loud banging

Several possibilities for noise. check concrete balance wieghts at top and bottom of washer, make sure they are not loose.
Check drum restraint spring(s) are not broken.
Check suspension legs for wear.
Check for loose motor fixings.
Finally, remove drum belt, and spin drum by hand, tjhere should be noise from bearings, if it feels rough or is rumbling , then main bearings have failed.
Please rate my comments.
Thanks.

Loud screeching noise when spin cycle is on

Good morning! Possibly the noise was due to improper placement of load into the spinner which should be within its capacity load. best regards.

Loud banging noise when machine goes into spin mode. sounds like it is banging on the side. Please help !

Usually this is an out-of-balance condition caused by too much weight on one side of the tub, move the clothes around and try again.
