Hello there: this means that it cant read the cd rom , because of the following conditions the cd rom is scratched or dirty or that the lens on the player is dirty and is in need of cleaning or that the player has failed all together ok so try to clean the player with compressed air and a cd cleaner with some cleaner on it first than make sure that the cd rom is cleaned and not scratched and if still nothing is working you might want to consider a new player ok? Hope that this is very helpfull best regards michael
You do not need a code to play CD's in a Panasonic CQ-C7301U. The player handles the standard CD format and also plays burned CD's in WMA or MP3 formats. However, burned CD's in WMA format that contain copyrighted music are not playable. In this case the display will show "PROTECTED".
The heat is normal due to the large output IC's Panasonic uses. You need to get a "Laser Lens Cleaner" one that uses fluid. You can find them at just about any retail store these days for 15-20. Run it thru a couple times and hope that's the magic bullet to fix the issue, otherwise it needs service at a cost of 100-150 on average. If the cleaner does the trick, make it a habbit of cleaning your player every 3mos or 3000 mi. It truly is the best preventative maintanance on any CD/DVD/PC etc.! Hope this helps
When you unhooked your deck it still had power going to it, you need to unplug your car battery and plug it back in that should reset the deck and get the error message to go away.
Good luck,
Chris
Is this a "home burnt" CD? The code means CD ERROR #2.It is usually because the CD was written in a format the head unit can not play.If it is a studio CD. I would contact Panasonic and find out what code # 2 means.I had a code too because of what I said before but I do not remeber the # it was.
The wires for the two harnesses should be color coordinated or at least closely colored. The harness should have come with either a guide that says what is what or the wires themselves have little flags saying what they are. You can use this to match it up with CD Players wires by using the manual from the CD player to know which wire is what.
