I can't remember my administrator password. the os is windows 7 and the computer is a Compaq Presario CQ62-219WM Celeron 900 laptop.. how can i reset my password?

Lost Windows password:

• Login as Administrator. Try with no password (load safe mode if you don't see Administrator). Press F8 during boot to access Safe Mode. XP only.
  
• Login as other user (if other user is available) and manage users. Must be an administrator.
  
• Reformat computer.
  
• Use 3rd party software to remove password. Like http://www.top-password.com/reset-windows-password.html
  
• Free software option would be Hirens Boot CD. This one is command prompt only. http://www.hirensbootcd.org/ Must follow instructions exactly.

Do you have created the password reset disk ?
If you do, you can sign into safe mode and recover the password.
