Hi there,
If the picture from the DVD shows on the screen, but the pictire from the VCR does not, it is most likely because you are using sockets on the back of the player that are exclusively for the output from the DVD.
Please review your connections in relation to the diagram below. If the cables from the player to the TV are only in the red box, you will not get any picture from the VCR. You will need to move the connections to the sockets in the green box or add a separate connection for the VCR using the sockets in the green box. Whether or not this is possible depends on what input sockets are available on your TV.
You will notice the heading above the red box says "DVD". This means the connections in this section can only be used for DVD. The heading above the green box says "DVD/VCR" meaning the connections here can be used for both.
There are a fews ways to set this up. To get the best picture quality from DVD, you should continue using any connections you may have in the red box and add another cable from the green box to the TV for the VCR. You will also need to select different INPUTS on the TV depending on whether you want to watch DVD or VCR if you are using 2 cables.
I suspect this will be the cause of your problem. If you need any further explanation or assistance, please reply to me by clicking on "Add a Comment" below your question. If you would like me to draw a connection diagram between the DVD/VCR and your TV, please let me know the brand and model number of your TV.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
BElectric
