I have a Invacare Pront M41, the left side motor is sluggish, and is hot to the touch. Any ideas?
This can also be a problem with the Shark Joystick. Its becoming more common than the joystick is causing this problem. Things to evaluate before replacing Joystick 1. Batteries (load test them) 2. Motors (overheating?) 3. Jostick ( replace, unable to evaluate)

How old are the batteries? Even fully charged older batteries can be weaker and not give you as much power to keep the speed at what you are used to. Now a dragging bake can cause you to go slower and also drag the batteries down quicker. Try driving the chair and after awhile check each motor to see if they feel overly warm or hot If one or both feel very warm or hot then I would have the brake or brakes checked If they seen ok I would get the batteries replaced
