How do i do the factory restore on my sony vaio?

Go to start and in the search bar type in restore. May come up as system restore. Open this.Look for restore options and select factory restore. Thats how it works on mine. Warning. In this tutorial, I'll show you how to restore your Vaio PC to it's factory settings. In other words how to restore your computer to it's original settings (in the exact state you bought it).
For that you have to:
1. Back-up all your data. Restoring to factory setting means to erase all data and reinstall Windows, drivers and preinstalled applications. If you have a single drive (C:) you have to backup your data to external drive or disks.
2. Start VAIO Recovery Center. Click on Start button and then click on All Programs. From the program list select "VAIO Recovery Center".

3. Restore complete system menu. From the left menu of Vaio Recovery Center select "Restore complete system"

4. Start button.

5. Select "Restore C: drive" and hit Next.

6. Read the information on this new window, select "I understand" and hit Start.

7. "Are you sure?" If you made backup for all your data and really want to restore your Vaio as it was when you bought it you have to make sure that have it plugged in to a stable source of energy and press YES.

8. So ... next you should sit back and relax. Your computer will start showing the next messages

9. Take your time until your system install VAIO software

Finish to restart.

Sony desktop computers can be placed into factory restore mode by shutting them completely down, and then pressing the VAIO Assist button to turn it back on. Follow the on-screen menu to get to the restore mode that resets to factory state.

Not sure what you mean when you say "full system recovery" but the operating system will have system restore points that you can access from the control panels system protection option. If you want to perform a factory default reset, start up the laptop and then look out for options that can be accessed by pressing one of the number function (Fn) keys. I believe the Vaio range comes with an option to restore the laptop back to it's shipped factory defaults, the interface is reliable and did a great job when I restored a Vaio VGN-NW20EF, came out like new!

If you are still having the original hard disk holding alt + F10 at boot will start the factory restore process

Just power on your laptop and keep pressing F10 key. You will get one wizard to restore your laptop to factory settings.

Use Restore System; Restore Computer to Factory "New" Condition.. Sont Vaios have a Key Prompt which you hold down while booting and the Replacement Software already on a Sector of the Hard Drive. Check THe Manuel for this OR CALL SONY CUSTOMER SERVICE AND JUST GIVE THEM THE MODEL NUMBER AND ASK THEM WHICH BUTTON YOU PUSH ETC TO RESTORE THE COMPUTER TO "FACTORY CONDITION"
