If you have static, more than likely you dont have the monitor on or plugged in. Also, make sure the the channels are set equally on the monitor and receiver, either on channel 1 or 2.

Try not to place the monitor or receiver near tv's, microwaves, radio's, etc. this may interrupt reception.

Hope this is helpful!

Radio model plcdbt65mrw.. I replaced this radio in my boat with the existing.. did wire for wire.. Excessive static coming thru speakers.. what can I check..? thanks mike

There are many possible reasons. Few pointers.
Disconnect antenna and check for static. If it is still there then turn off everything on boat , including battery charger and check for static. If is gone then start turning on electrical devices to narrow what is causing electromagnetic interferencw. If your still have static then disconnect all speakers right on stereo harness. Start connecting speaker to individual output to check for static. If there is no static then one of speaker wire installed on boat is shorted somewhere. If you have static when connecting speaker straight to stereo harness then likely internal ampflier inside stereo is a problem

Stanton T52 turntable static

Tricky. I would suggest running a wire to a earth point such as a copper pipe, say of a radiator. A lot of static could be caused by yourself when handling an record. Some carpets make this worse. You can get an anti-static earth strap for yourself, when you handle the records.

Speaker produces noice/static/buzzing sound when it is off

That means that if too much power is going to the speaker or extraneous signals are being picked up by the wiring, it can come through the speakers as static. Stopping static requires finding and eliminating that extra electricity from transmitting through your speakers.
If you're still hearing distortion, turn down the volume on your amplifier until the distortion goes away. If the volume is too low to be easily heard, the problem may be that your amplifier produces too much power for your speakers to handle or that your amp and speakers have different impedance ratings.

1) Did you use an ESD wrist strap, and connect the alligator clip to a good ground?
(Electro Static Discharge)

Your body carries Static electricity.
Static will fry out, (Short Circuit) the hardware components in a computer.
You may not even see it, or feel it.
Your computer will. POOF! No computer, expensive door stop.

Static is generated by the movement of your clothes as you walk, or move around.
Static is generated when you walk across a carpet floor.
Static is generated by touching an object that contains static electricity, and the charge is passed onto you.
Just some of the ways static is generated in your body. (Or passed onto your body)

I connect the alligator clip to the metal frame of an empty desktop computer case.
Better method is to connect to an ESD anti-static mat. (A little unnecessary IMHO)

A Processor is the most susceptible hardware component to static shock.

2) If Anti-Static Precautions were observed, perhaps take a look at this pictorial disassembly guide, and see if you can remember anything you may have omitted. Perhaps a cable didn't get hooked up. Granted it's for an Aspire 4530, but should be the same in disassembly.

A) Power On switch/LED module get plugged back in?
B) CMOS (RTC) battery plugged back in?

Just some off the top of my head. Post back in a Comment, and we'll go from there.

Buzzing static sound in speaker

Static can be caused by a few things.

Does the static persist if you unplug the audio cable from your computer?
If so, the static is being caused by the amplifier built in to your speakers.
If not, the static is probably caused by interference on your sound card. Try plugging the speakers in to a portable media player. You might need to replace the sound card in your computer.

Static in between video

Normal 0 Two things can cause static.
First, If you have your speakers turned up to high it will give you feedback causing distortion and static.
Second reason is, if you are using a laptop and have and have added an external microphone between the two it will cause distortion and static.
Not knowing the configuration of your computer makes it harder to analyze the problem.
So hope this is of some help. Bud

Static in my panasonic telephones

A possible cause for the static in your cordless phones could be dimmer switches around the area of your phone that causes static. Turn the switches completely off (not just turned down) and see if the static leaves. You can replace the dimmers with regular switches if that clears your static. If it does not, another trace for interference: you will have to take a portable radio and turn it to AM 550 mHz and tune it to the loudest crackling noise. Carry the radio around looking for the loudest static interference. Could be a loose connection in a receptacle or panel box. Any small malfunction can cause static on wireless devices.
