The tv lamp light is red (in the bottom right corner) and is lit. Is this expensive to repair? I have had a blue line on my screen for over a year as well. Is this worth fixing?

It is light engine that is going bad and causing blue haze/ clouds etc. It is an expensive part, and I would recommend a new TV instead of its repair. Thanks.
I would first try a new lamp. If the reflector portion of the lamp has any defects, it could show up this way as the light would not be uniform. The next possibility is a defective light engine. The engine portion if not field repairable and would need to be replaced. Try the lamp first and let us know what happens.
when i go to convergence and align the white cross with the blue its ok ,but when i try the red it doesnt line up and if l get it close enough it get misaligned only with the red ,green and blue fine
Depends on whether you use the TV as your "daily driver" or not. Colour patches on the edges of the screen sounds a bit like a purity problem. If replacing the lamp every year is proving too expensive, not to mention a tad repetitive since it indicates the short life of the lamp(s), plus the set happens to be a few years old, perhaps consider a new TV of approximately the same screen size (50" and up) - if the latter is what you want to do.
The Blue dots or discolouration you are seeing is due too the Blue LCD screen having cracked from excessive heat. This normally happens when you have a power failure while the Television was on. This obviously because the Blue LCD sits next to the lamp - the main cause of heat. The correct part number on the 60" is A-1086-952-A. It is very, very ,expensive.
Sorry to have been the bearer of bad news. Good luck : )
