Both phones work except they both will not ring in. If you are looking at it when a call is coming in they will light up blue but no ring sound. Ring volume is on High. What do I do to get them to ring again as they have been working fine up until last evening.

sounds like who ever installed your service was an amateur, all points should be gone over by a senior tech, piece by piece!!

I think the water affected your phone's hardware somehow. So I suggest, in hardware type of problems, you should try to visit a "Certified" Service Center to diagnose and fix your phone.

i have the same problem with my BB curve 8900
doesn't ring or play any sound

Follow these steps:
Go to your menu, then go to settings and tools.
Next go to sounds settings.
Go to Call sounds.
Then Call Ringtone.
Check if it is set on "no ring", if so change it to whatever ringtone you might want.

You can go back to the sounds settings and go to alert sounds and follow the same steps as above so you will get sound when someone sends you a picture or video message.

I just had this problem - and I have been messing with it for an hour.... but I finally fixed it - Try this - touch the speaker symbol on top (The system status window should pop-up) then touch the speaker symbol again (Now you should have two tabs - one for system and one for ring) Touch ring and slide it up. This worked for me.

Sounds like either loose connections or possibly a hard drive gone bad. Try to look for the hard drive light. It will usually blink on start up.

For starters, try looking for your Install cd and see if you can boot from it.

i did the exact same thing with the exact same problem. turns out that i left the speaker in the old cover! so double check that you took the speaker out of the old cover first and secondly that you reinserted it properly (right way up) in the new cover.

Uh oh, I just saw this. Is it in the main board 101-108 exts, or one of the expansion boards?

Ringing is set 3 ways, by the switch on the side of the phone, by programming, by features. First, make sure the switch is in the ring position and have someone call you on the intercom. If it rings, have someone transfer an outside call to you. If it rings, try dialing 790 on the intercom to reset station features. If none of this works, It's time to look at ring programming. It's done from the system programming mode at the main phone or from a PC. It's program codes 408-410 or section 3.2 from the Maintenance console.

The last ugly thing is it's a hardware failure.
