This is a common problem and it is not specific to Wii Fit Plus, it is a TV setup issue.
Access your TV's menu screen and be sure that your TV screen is expecting input from "AV" or "Video". If you have "S-Video" selected, this is the cause of why your Wii is playing black and white.

Picture for Wii game is in black and white only.

What type of cables are you using? My presumption is that you're using Component Video Cables - Red, Green, Blue for video, Red & White for audio.

If one of the 3 video cables is mixed up or poorly connected, you could see a Black & White image on the screen. I suggest double checking your cables for tightness and correct color attachment. Also be sure the red video is not mixed with the red audio cable. The red audio cable is marginally thinner and probably physically attached to the white audio cable.

Conecting Wii to a Phillips lcd tv. rwy cords. but the picture is in black & white ?? i have sound. tried different connections eg: red to green conections & the only one that works is still black...

it sounds like you may be trying to plug a standard composit video cable (yellow) into a component video input (red, green, and blue)
these are actually two different connections. Most LCD tv's will have both options (sometimes there in weird different spots on the tv tho) if you don't have a standard RGB (red, white, and yellow composite video input) then you may need to purchase a component cable either at a local store or you can get one for $5 on Ebay
hope it helps!
~good luck!

I just got a new 46" vizo & dont know what ports to plug my wii into? i know the cords are red white & yellow but not the ones on the tv. totally confused.

Many large HDTV's will have alternately colored slots to enable 5 connector HD cables. You can plug the Red White and Yellow cords into non-matching ports (green, black, etc) until you have color picture and stereo sound. This will not damage your TV or Wii. You can also buy cables for your Wii that will match the connectors on the back of your television, as well as give your Wii higher resolution capabilities. Which you can purchase at any electronics store.

I have more than one A/V cable to connect to the TV: One for U Verse and the other for Wii. The U Verse A/V cable is connected to the Yellow, Red and White inputs and the Wii is connected to the Green...

This is actually really not good don't use a composite with a component input go to the store and buy an HD cord for you're wii if you need help ask the person in the store for a component cable for the wii.

I just hooked my wii & all we get is black & white

I had the same problem. Instead of going directly into the TV, I tried plugging the component cable into the auxiliary jack in my digital cable box and that seemed to fix it. Works great now.

No color, it's in black & white

HI ,
First you need to check all your connections with the help of manual that you have got along with your unit. If the connection seems to be perfect then you need to open up your unit and replace wii-fi module or bluetooth module.
Thank you!

Wii is suddenly only playing in black & white. I've unplugged and replugged at wii and at TV, but not worked - any ideas?

From the Wii, the Audio-Video (AV) cable is Red White and Yellow. Now, those R, W, Y should connect to the R, W, Y inputs of your TV. At times, the inputs to the TV have a Red, Blue, Green input - DO NOT USE those inputs. This is precisely what happened in my case. Now, it is fixed.

Wii is showing in Black & White with sound.

I would check your video connection. And make sure all cables are secured. It is possible the video cable may be bad. Try it on another TV, if it works, it may be the TV

Screen losing color.. turning black and white

Your TV goes black & white, because your Wii could be NTSC or PAL which. If your Wii is PAL and your TV is NTSC then the TV will show a blac and white color. Since NTSC is for North America and PAL for Asia
