My droid keeps freezing up when I start to put a name into the To: box when texting and sometimes when emailing. I also notice problems when I touch a name in my contacts. It sometimes takes a while for anything to happen. Other times, when I'm dialing, I'll press a number and there is a long delay before it actually shows that it's been pressed. Finally, when I am having these problems I seem to notice all (or most) of the time, the arrows for 3G at the top of the screen are either not dark or only one of them is. Got any suggestions? It is a Verizon Droid 2 purchased whenever they first came out in August or Sept. Thanks.

Yes, take the battery and mem card out, get a big ziplock baggie, put it about half way full with white uncooked rice, put teh phone and battery in there and seal it up and DO NOT TOUCH FOR 5 DAYS!!!!

You might want to try a hard reset on the phone, it should put your phone back to normal if its a software issue, if its a hardware issue you might have to take the phone apart or send it in for repairs or warranty return.

You can hard reset your Motorola Droid if you want clear all of the data off of the device and start fresh. Here’s how it’s done.

1. Turn the Droid off. If it won’t turn off, take the battery out then place it back in.
2. Open the keyboard and press the X key while pressing and holding Power. The device will power on. Keep holding the buttons down until a yellow triangle appers.
3. Press the Camera and Volume Up buttons at the same time to get to the menu. (I had to press them several times).
4. Use the direction pad to the right of the keyboard to select the Format option.

There can be many ways to Unlock your phone. As far as i know unlocking by codes is the simple and safe way. I will suggest the website Unlock-Zone.com which is doing good service and they were recommended highly in the cell phone forums.
I used them to unlock my cell phone. contacted them and within 30 mins i had my unlock code and my phone was unlocked.
