SYMA Toys industrial New Syma S107 Radio Remote Control Helicopter Logo
Posted on Feb 25, 2011

Hi, I just bought your product SYMA s107. I took it out of it's box and I started flying it. At first it was flying great but after a couple of minutes it started to not even lift of the ground. I charged it with the usb cable and even then it didn't work. Then I tried charging it with the remote controller but the light on the controller didn't turn red as it wrote on the manual. What should I do?

You should have charged your heli BEFORE 1st flight.......anyway,,plug computer end of usb charge
cord into computer......turn heli OFF....before you plug cord into heli look at computer end of cord,,
should be bright red light inside......now plug other end of cord into heli.....bright red light goes out!
when heli is fully charged bright light on computer end of cord comes back on......disconnect
heli right away.....if left on charge your battery could wear out....it takes about 50-60 minutes

S107 RC Helicopter making a high pitched whine when used

If the gears are meshing properly and the rotors are not spinning very fast then the motor shaft is slipping in the hub of the first gear.

Syma s107 hit a dangling string that got tied up instantly and seized the rotors. now lights up but blades don't spin when throttled. What can I do besides replace the helicopter?

I was flying my syma s800g and hit the ceiling fan chain. When I attempted to fly it would spin and fall over. The problem was I broke the two small plastic pins on the top rotor holder. Ordered a new top rotor and flies fine. Then on my s107 I flew into a door and the top rotor had zero spin although the motors worked. In that case the screw that sets the top rotor onto the middle shaft loosened resulting in no lift and also tilted and fell over. This was fixed by securing the set screw properly. So in both instances it was similar effects due to the top rotors not spinning in sync with lower blades.

So i have the syma s107 and it as flying great and everything for a few days after a few crashes it still has great lift and what not. but now the whole helicopter like rotates while fying not in a yaw...

Make sure the drive shaft is seated properly. Gently, but firmly push it down towards the body both above and below bottom rotor. Also check shaft for any hair, thread or such thing that may be wrapped around it.

Let me know if you're still having issues, and we'll dig a little deeper.

Hi, my syma s107 worked great for many flights, still has about 7 minute flight time but not getting any altitude.thinking motor wear? any suggestions.thanks

Very important with these motors and the batteries is a solid 5-10 minute rest after charging and after flying. Make sure the shaft is fully seated. Push it down firmly (but gently) both above and below bottom rotor.

Let me know if this doesn't help.

Blades wont stop till battery goes flat, then rotate again when you try charge it up

First, chopper must be "off" when charging.
If helicopter is powered off and blades move when it's hooked to the charger, then you have an incorrect charger. It's tricky as they all look the same. At one point I had 3 different "syma s107" helis that all used different chargers. Around 7 different Chinese and Taiwanese factories/companies produce the "syma" branded birds, and often with differing but very similar parts. There are at least 3 circuit board designs, different wiring patterns, and a couple batteries.... I've heard of people receiving a charger in the box with their 107 that didn't charge it. NEVER run battery dead. You will ruin it. What charging method are you using? Does it fly normally when charged? Do the blades ever move when it is powered off and not hooked to charger?

Let me know,
thanks PvT

S107 wont fly forwards any more

Check the tail rotor blade for proper rotation. A lil wd40 could resolve this problem if it is not spinning.
